    Smiley I'm a winner!

After much suspense, which I will tell you about, I made it

Saturday night was Amateur Night, which I won by default, being the only participant, but still went through with it all the way. I danced to one song (Orgy - Blue Monday). The place was a full house, the crowd was totally into it. One of the comments I remember the DJ saying was "Are you sure you're an amateur?! I don't believe it!" Actually I owe that to this forum. Thanks guys!!

After my dance the bouncers and some of the girls told me I did exceptionally well considering I was the only one and could have done the bare minimum and still won. They told me I should totally come back and audition one of these days.

Well, I went back today (Monday) to do just that. I arrived and met the manager, he told me the basic rules and then led me to the dressing room to get ready. Back there, I met a few more of the girls and picked out 2 songs on the jukebox. I chose Saliva - Click Click Boom, and Chavelle - The Red. One fast, one slow.

After the girl before me was finished I went up.. It was significantly emptier today obviously :p It's a lot harder to dance when there's nobody to dance for!! So I did my best with what I had, got a few guys to come up, one guy came up for seconds which made me feel a lot better. Noticed the girl before me didn't pick up a few of her tips so after I was finished I grabbed them intending to give them to her, but she had left before I was finished so I kept them (what do you do in this case?? I wanted to leave a good first impression, so I at least tried to give them to her).

-- This is where the suspense really started building --

The girl before me was denied outright, which made me really nervous, but I knew it was because she was not so great (a few of the guys who tipped me commented on how I seemed much more confident than the last girl).

So I head back to the manager's office and knock on his door, but he's busy at the moment and says to wait a moment. I end up waiting like 35-40 minutes for him, each minute passing I think "this is a bad sign, he forgot about me or something, no way I made it" but eventually he lets me in and apologizes like 50 times. As he starts to say something, the DJ comes in and says one of the girls isn't here and she was supposed to be on by now, so manager has to make some phone calls, suspense is buildinngggggg.... Then he gets off the phone and starts to talk again but the phone rings. I start giggling out of nervousness.

FINALLY he goes "alright, still want to work here?" and then writes down some info and says to call back on wednesday and get my schedule

    I made it!!

Congratulations! If that happens again with the tips left on stage, just save them and give them to the dancer next time you see her.

Yeah I'm kinda "too nice" like that. I know almost anyone else would have just kept them without saying a word. I just think that since she got up there and did it, even though she wasn't very good she deserved the tips that were intended for her.

Welp, maybe one day she'll try again and get hired and I'll buy a dance from her :p

Congratulations!!! That sounds awesome! That's exactly how I first got started working at a club. There were a few girls though, and when the crowd started cheering the loudest I kept lifting up my shirt for extra cheers. I won a trip to Aruba. LOL. Nice job girl. Good luck.

Welp, had my first shift tonight! There were a few speedbumps but it mostly went well. I broke $100 in the 3 hours I worked even tho it was mainly dead, so I'm happy about that.

I got there a little early and went into the changing room and met one of the girls who was up next (I was after her) and she explained that during the week the dancers have almost no say in what music gets played x.x Basically tell them what type you listen to and they'll maybe pick something resembling it. So I give the DJ my stage name and tell them I dance to rock, pretty much anything they play on the radio station (as stated previously, all the DJs here are from the local rock station).

I end up with 3 totally obscure songs I've never heard, or really slow things for my first set. Of course all the other girls got songs I knew and wanted to rock out to :p

Anyway, right away I noticed a guy sittingkinda close to the stage but not quite.. and looked kinda smug so I left him alone until he made himself a little more obvious (which he did during the third song).

There was one old guy who accidently tipped me a 5 and shrugged it off.. yay!

And then there was my favorite guy, an older gentleman who was absolutely in love with me, it seemed :p He was right up at the stage every time I was up, he was the sweetest guy and bought lapdances #2-6 and bought me a few drinks (pro tip: diet coke + lemonaid tastes amazing AND very closely resembles beer!). And we talked and talked and talked.... :3

And now for the bad part of the night- lapdance #1. Yep, first one I score was a total creep. He really took advantage of the fact that I was new and didn't know the house rules regarding contact and stuff during lapdances. He kept trying to touch the naughty bits, tried to lick once, and kept pushing me down on him. He wasn't letting me take control at all.. But I did manage to get $60 out of him since he kept forgetting about song changes. Eat that, jerk!

I really like this club. At the end of the night I only have to pay the house fee and tip the DJ (who got a little extra for noticing my Alkaline Trio hoodie and playing them! )

So all in all, aside from the first private dance it went well!

It sounds like you're a natural! You did a great job, especially making $100 in 3 hours your first night.

About the dj playing you crappy songs- some DJ's will dick you around unless you tip them extra. It's their way to extort money from you. And generally it works. My best advice is always be polite to the dj and tip them a little extra. If they do you a favor you should tip them more extra.

Generally everywhere I go I kiss the DJ's a$$ so I get reciprical treatment. Once I didn't do this with a DJ at sapphire las vegas- he asked me out on a date and I didn't go, and he blackballed me. Best to stay on the good side of the DJ.

I think I forgot to mention that the girls were lovely! Very helpful, gave me a lot of advice (similar to what I've gotten here, but it really helps to hear it from a person I guess) explained a lot of the rules that management never bothered to, and one of them (her stage name is Silence :3) brought me back to do a double lapdance so I could learn some things after the first guy tried to take advantage.

I feel like I struck real lucky coming to this club. Nice girls, mostly rock music, only have to pay the manager a portion from PDs and tip the DJ, no house fee while I was there (might be during the day/weekends?) and so far I have a sweet old guy who absolutely adores me

^Lol! You're first club experience sounds exactly like mine. Everybody welcomed me warmly to the family and some of the older girls took me under their wing. I think part of it was because I went in naive yet enthusiastic attitude, but without the slightest bit of ego. Girls don't like it when other girls come into their club with a bad attitude.

I had always planned on quitting when I graduated from college but the money's so good I kept going back to dancing. I started when I was 18, I'm now 26. I wish you as successful a career as mine.

^ wow luckyone, same thing here with being 26 and starting at 18 thinking dancing was just something during college but going back to it cause the money's too damn good!
also i had the same thing for awhile when i first started working at my current club two years ago with the dj. he asked out my girlfriend from vegas and she said no, but because we were always together when she was here he didn't like me too. but i ended up running into him a few times outside of work and things are great now. so much betterrrr! but you can be sexy to any song, its just easier and more fun when its a song you like

to the OP, it wasn't uncommon for you to give the girl her tips. it was a nice thing to do, but you're not alone in that. i know we have money left on the stage all the time at my club and it'll sit there all night cause no one will pick it up. its not really a stage club so its a little different, but whatev. congrats on getting the job and learning lots your first shift! everything sounds great, keep up your confidence!

well what's he going to do be like "excuse me, can i have that back? i gave you a $5 and i meant to give you a $1" perhaps its just the hardened dancer in me but once a guy hands me money, he's not getting it back. i don't think any guy really expects to.

i'm sorry you had such a crappy lapdance experience already!! i've been dancing for 8 yrs and have never had a guy try to push me down, so hopefully you just got broken in quick and it won't be a common occurance! what a dick! good going getting his money, you deserved a lot more than that!

The sweet old guy more than made up for what the first guy did :3 He kept asking me when I work next, but I honestly couldn't tell him since that was the only shift I had this week and I don't get my next schedule until morning Hopefully I meet more people like him, he really helped calm my nerves and was real forgiving for me not being so great at the lapdancing, so I got to sort of practice on him and figure out what works :p

    Skull Re: I'm a winner!

Just had my second shift last night. Didn't do even close to as well as last week, it was SO DEAD. I ended up staying for another girl, so I was 9:30-2. I only got 4 private dances, and as bad as I thought that was, 2/3 of the girls didn't get any

    First stage set I got $8, second $9, third $8, last $2!

My last lapdance was this completely drunk businessman who could barely walk or function. His buddy sold him to me He just kept staring into my eyes and stroking my hair. I got him to buy another dance but it took him most of it to find another 20 so by the time I got to dance for him the song was ending... and it was the last one of the night! I tried to give it back but he wouldn't take it

DJ was extra gracious with my Alkaline Trio tonight so he got a good chunk of my tips as a result

Had a great night tonight!! I went in to find out that I was left off the schedule by accident, but luckily another girl wanted to leave early so I took her shift. I ended up selling 4 lapdances to a guy the moment I hit the floor. After I stowed that $$ away I came out to find that a friend of mine decided to pay me a surprise visit, so he got to see my first stage set, sat and tipped a few other girls, and then left.

First set was pretty good, I think I got $19 in tips. Then I ended up selling 6 dances to another guy (gave me a $100! I never OWNED a $100 bill before! squee!) and then did my first theme set on my next turn up. I was a burglar and danced to Jane's Addiction - Been Caught Stealin', Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal, and Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar. Got like $14 from that set, sold another 2 lapdances, then did my last set (school girl outfit but he didn't line up the theme songs, oh well).

I ended up with $160 after pay outs, on a slow Tuesday night!

And I get to work Halloween, yay!

    Default Re: I'm a winner!

Last night went pretty amazingly. In the end I walked out with a little over $300 and an interesting story to tell.

I started at 9:30 and worked until 2. When I got there I learned the basic rules of a Saturday Night and what sets it apart from my usual Tuesday nights, plus the rules specific to being Halloween Night. I looked on the chart and found that my set partner was this girl called Pisces, who I quickly learned I really didn't like. She wasn't exactly a bitch but she was REALLY weird and rather obnoxous, and I think she maybe tried to sabotage my sets, but I'll get to that.

Alright, I met her in the DR and noticed she had a very high pitched squealy voice, dark lipstick that really didn't look good on her (it looked black at first but I think it was more of a dark dark red, which I know looks like shit under the stage lights) and her hair was a hot mess. I introduced myself, and she replied with "HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE" in a very loud monotone voice. I told her I've been at it for about a month now, and she replied with "OH OK..." and whatever she said after that, I couldn't hear because she kept talking as she left the DR. The other girls had the biggest "what the hell?" look on their faces. This is where I learned that this girl used to be a huge druggie and pretty much smoked away all of her functioning brain cells, so right away I knew I was going to have an interesting night.

First set, it's still kinda dead inside so there's no guys at the stage yet, so I go to the corner cross and wiggle around. Basically what the corner cross is, is we have mirrors lining the walls that the stage runs along, and at the corner it forms this cool lighting/angles effect and looks like it forms a cross, so when we have nobody to dance for, we'll go wiggle around in there because the coolness of it draws people in. So this girl comes over to me and starts talking (more like shouting because her VOICE just... x.x) to me, asking me how long I've been working (I already answered this question why are you asking me again ON STAGE??) and telling me how to do this that and the other thing (basically things I learned on my first day just through mere observation). I mean I appreciate the girl trying to help, but ON STAGE is not the place for casual conversations.

During our second stage set she just kept TALKING TO ME.. and eating. Yes, she was eating a Twix bar on stage during our set, and not even in a sexy "hey boys watch me lick this like I'd lick you" way. Just a "chomp chomp chomp I'm absolutely clueless what planet am I on again?"

Now, she must have noticed the mirror thing working out for me last time, because for the second and third sets she placed her money pile right there, and glared at me when I started to approach it (before I noticed she put her shit there). What the hell, either lock that shit up or keep it to where you will be dancing. I'm really not sure if she did that on purpose, but the other girls are convinced she did, and they've known her and dealt with her a lot longer than I have...

Also in the middle of the second song she BOLTED off the stage and into the DR... I have this little bad habit of tuning out music so I can hear my customers talk to me so I wasn't really paying much attention to which song it was, so I was like "is that the last one? Are we done? Did I lose track? What's going on?" but the DJ said to keep going, so I shrugged and kept going. Then she comes back on stage during the last song and PUTS ON some clothes. Then takes them off again like 30 seconds later. ???

During our last set, (the last set of the night, therefore people were leaving because we were closing so naturally there weren't as many guys there to tip) she goes to the center stage section that sticks out toward the bar (stage is shaped like an F) and starts SHREAKING in her high pitched nails-on-chalkboard voice some nonsense that nobody could understand. The bouncers had to go drag her off the stage to shut her up, but she went back up and huddled near the pole for the rest of the set.

After the set and before the final cabaret, she comes into the DR and, in her loud squealy voice, says "HOW MUCH MONEY YOU GUYS MAKE HUH, ANYONE MAKE ANY MONEY????? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MAKE MONEY??" and the rest of us, dumbfounded, blankly stared at her until she left. Really? What did we do? We did our jobs, something you should attempt if they let you come back.

I asked the bouncers what the hell she was screaming about and they said they weren't sure but it sounded like she was yelling at people for not tipping her. Then they said "don't worry, you won't have to deal with her anymore" so I'm pretty sure she's getting the axe.

And thus, my story ends of my first real interesting night at the Cat. It was made better by the fact that I sold 14 lapdances between 3 lovely men (no grabby ones this time!) and I got to hang out with the radio station DJ who hosted the Amateur Night that got me started with it all

Did pretty good today. Was pretty busy for a Tuesday. One customer was complaining at one of the dancers about her teeth, and I couldn't help but wonder why, if he had a naked girl in front of him, would he be fixated on her teeth? She got the DJ to play "Die Motherfucker Die" just for him

I met a nice gentleman today who was 32 and never been to a SC. And apparently had only ever been with one woman (since he was 17!) but they had a bad break up so his friend dragged him there. He was SOOOOO shy, it was adorable. He had a hard time making eye contact, so I gave him a playful smooch on the cheek and then said "let's have a staring contest!" and got him to look me in the eyes :3 He ended up spending like 200 on me. Then a guy from Saturday came back in to see me as I was finishing my shift, bought 4 dances from me and then left =] Surprised me since he said he'd be back but I wasn't expecting he'd keep his word. Nor did I think he'd come in just for me and then take off. Kinda made me feel all special

It's been a little over a month since I started and I've been really happy with it overall Even the few douchebags I've encountered have been trumped by the awesome ones I've met. And it's always nice to walk out with a couple hundred $$ once or twice a week
