I've been getting asked this a lot lately by customers. I find it rude, but what do you say to them? I usually say "I do ok". The truth is im not making that much right now at all. How do you respond to this question?

I think its rude also. Money is a subject you just dont bring up with complete strangers. I just fake a smile and tell them eaither "Well the economy has hit everyone" or I tell them Im having a great night tonight. I dont say numbers and I change the subject.

You might as well give them a smart-ass response because the customers you will make money off of don't go around asking strippers how much money they make.
I just say "enough" and leave it at that. They usually get embarrassed because they know its a rude question, and it usually results in at least a dance or two.

I usually answer it with "what did you report on your tax returns last year?"
answer a question with a question.

I usually say either "I do alright" or "let's not talk about income, let's talk about boobies!" depending on my mood. The second one is usually better because it reminds them that it is a rude question and that they are in the club for entertainment... And boobies.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

I just say "a lot" or "over a grand every night."
Obviously the second is bullshit, but I tell everyone customer I give the best lap dances so if they're being annoying I just use that to help my sales pitch.

^^^Yep, same with me. If you tell a custie that you "aren't making much money" what does that say about you? To them, they will think you suck at dances or something--they won't understand that times are tough right now and it's really the fact that customers are broke and NOT that you suck, in terms of making little money right now. So just fake it. Tell them you make $3grand a night and that you've already made $2G, or whatever. If they are rude enough to ask anyways, just lie. It does help to, to tell them you're the best dancer/top earner at your club, again, irregardless of whether or not that's the truth. That way, they feel like they have some "evidence" to pursuade them that your dances will be worth the money they will have to cough up for them.
It also doesn't hurt to be right too, lol. Giving a quality product AND saying you give a quality product equals repeat customers, regulars and good tips. So talk the talk AND walk the walk and you will bank. I promise.

i think they ask because they are trying to determine whether or not you are a hot commodity.

I agree that it is a rude question. That said, I actually do really well telling the truth. If I'm having a crappy night, I tell them (not quite that way, but I say it's slow). If I'm having a good night, I say I'm doing ok (I find if i tell them I am doing really well, they seem to think that means I don't need their money as much).
So I guess you could say I'm honest but i blunt it a bit (i.e. never saying I'm doing too bad or too good).
I always told them .. "I am not making ANY money right now ...
They ask .. Why not ... I say .. because you havent given me any yet. I have been here for three songs and you havent got a dance or tipped me or nothing ... dont you like me?
At that point they usually buy something.
Having been a regular customer before, I could actually see myself asking this question to a girl, but only because I'd actually be curious. I guess that's irrelevant though, since I highly doubt a male customer is interested in becoming a stripper and is curious about how well off us ladies do.![]()
I get annoyed. It's totally inappropriate and rude. Then again, what's appropriate in the SC? To them, anything they want to say is okay-we're just strippers anyways..
I get this question a lot. Especially lately when people are hurting for money, and they think we are still making craaaaazy money.
I think that they think we make more than we actually do. What do you guys think?
I usually respond with- "Depends on how hard I work, would you like a dance?" Something like that. Or "a lot" if I am feeling snooty or they are annoying..
I like what Lady said. That's a great response. And Athenas "let's not talk about income, let's talk about boobies!" I'm using those for sure!![]()

God I hate this question. Its like if you don't make loads you must be rubbish and if you do make loads they don't 'need' to give you anything.

I just change the subject. The other day I actually had a guy reach his hand over and thumb over my money. I keep it on my garter, folded in a stack and secured with a rubber band. It happened so quick I didn't have time to stop him. I was so irritated by that. I almost wanted to be like "Hey, can I see your wallet so I can count your money?" WTF?
Also, the best part is, he was like "ooohhhhh wow! you're doing WELL today huh????" and I had maybe 60 bucks at that point. Probably 40 of it was in 1s.
idiot.

BTW: I just thought about it, and I'm pretty sure that no one, ever, who has asked me that question, has wound up spending a great deal of money. I mean, maybe a dance or two (if any), but those guys are never the big spenders.

i doesnt bother me really...theyre just curious so i tell themn with the eonomy, no too much lately.

I just say, ''Well you can help me make more, fancy a dance?''
''I love fake boobs''
''They're not fake! I grew them myself!''

It used to bother me and I used to ask "why?how much do you make?". Funnily enough some guys told me hahaha. Anyway after reading Black Widow's advice I've tried saying things like, "ohhhh lots. I have 2 houses, a mercedes and a boat so..." It really works! It's like they either think you're hot shit or an extra's girl... either way..gets me more dances. So thanks![]()
I would always answer "That depends, how much money do you plan on spending tonight?"![]()
