Default How Long to lose inches?

If a lady ate a pretty clean healthy diet and started working out 4-5 days a week for an hour or more each time doing cardio and stuff to tone up, how long do you generally think it would take her to lose 6 inches in her stomach?

I know this is sort of a broad question so if you could just guesstimate that would be great. But that's basically my goal. Go from 30 inches to a 24 or less. I already eat healthy but I'm going to start working out. Thought you guys might have some insight on a time frame. Thanks!

It's really hard to say... everyone loses inches differently.
There are too many factors to even begin listing. O_O

I lose weight from all over pretty evenly (like... a little bit from all over my body) unlike some people who seem to lose more weight from specific areas than from others... So it took me about a month per inch when I went from 31 to 26. /shrug.

I realize that you're looking for a nonspecific answer, but there really are so many factors...age, height/weight, bmi, body type, genetic predispositions, where you lose fat first, etc....

I suggest going into your gym and asking a trainer to take your body fat percentage, which most will do for free. Although they will be using calipers which are not very accurate, it will give you an idea where you are at so that you can measure your progress. Among the various places they measure they will be taking a measurement along the iliac crest, which is basically pinching the fat above your pelvis and to the side of your tummy. Then figure out how much body fat % you want to lose and attain your goal that way.....or do it the easy way and have a friend or trainer measure you every three weeks or so and track your progress that way.

I'm sorry if this isn't very helpful, but there really isn't a direct ratio between fat lost/inches lost, so there is no way to determine that. It will vary by individual. Please keep in mind that as you exercise, muscle tone will also change in that region, thus also affecting shape and size.
