Default Discount lap dance night at clubs

My club does $5 lap dances once a month and requires everyone to work. I personally don't like it because the club is filled with cheap guys hanging out acting like it's a $100 dance. The songs are 2 minutes instead of 3.

Does anybody like these kind of nights?
Does anybody bank more on these nights instead of regular nights?
Has anybody had good or bad experiences with these nights? Please share.

poor baby. my last club did $10 dances two days a week. two weeks later, i packed my shit and left.

i noticed that the days they did this were the slowest days of the week. i imagine mgmt thought it would draw in more people. it didn't. just the same amount of people who are now buying cheap dances. no, thank you.
i did not notice a big difference between the money i made on $10 days. money was already steadily declining. it continued to do so.
this change in prices was one of the many reasons i quit the club. however, i'm hearing that most clubs in the area have recession specials of some sort going on.

most owners really do not give a shit whether you make money or not. they are trying to pull people in to get drunk. i do not know why they think millionaires will show up if they offer $10 dances.

I danced at a club that had $5 night, but we weren't required to work. If they make EVERYONE work, then you wouldn't have a competitive advantage being one of the few girls to show up to discount night. Although I never did a $5 night, my friends did and tended to bank easily. How many dancers does this place have where they require all of you to show up?

If its once a month, and the club is otherwise good, I'd come in and try to make the best of it. Just "wanna dance" hustle, and don't put up with any custy bullshit.

I'm not very good at putting up with BS from management. I assume you still have to pay a house fee, and that would just enrage me. Being forced to come in and pay them for the privilege of putting up with the cheapest douchebags and not making shit? If the housefee was too high, I'd quit and go to another club. If not, I'd come in but write it off as one of those days when I just accept I won't be making a huge profit and wouldn't put much effort in.

Kiwi:Umm...I am guessing around 60 girls showed up for it. The place didn't get packed till about 10pm. It was hard for me to get guys to pay $30 for VIP because they insisted on the $5 dance. I will definitely do the "wanna dance" line and require their grubby hands by their side during the dance. The time wasters never seem to take a day off from the strip club.

Camille27: Damn, i agree with everything you said in your post, you hit the bulls-eye!!!!!!!!!!I disliked a lot of things about the discount dance night. I'd love it if they had discount house fees and support staff tip out as a perk, why stop at the dances? I know I have to improve my hustle but didn't know if I was the Only dancer to feel this way.

Elvia: When I first arrived, I thought I would bank easy because who would say no to a $5 dance? Well I was wrong wrong wrong!!!!!!!!!! I tried hard to maintain a positive attitude but it was like these guys had 4 hands instead of 2, super touchy. I wanted to kindly slap them across the face and leave. I decided to stay because I had already paid the house fee/support staff and would still be tipping $5 for the required valet service. I have done okay there I can't blame the club for my earnings because I know I need to improve my hustle (like I said in my other post). I have really thought about coming in early to avoid the house fee. I do better when I work 8+ hours. I don't know exactly why but I do.

Ok, if I was making good money at the club the rest of the time, then honestly I wouldn't even try on that night. I wouldn't even hustle, wouldn't even ask anyone if they wanted a dance. If someone requested one, I'd get the money up front and walk away if they ignored the no touching rule. I'd bring a book and spend time in the dressing room. Or park myself next to someone who's good company and will buy me drinks.

I know some girls would think I'm crazy to pay to go to work and not even try to make money. But I'd just find that situation degrading on so many levels, I couldn't even bring myself to really participate. Kudos to the girls who are strong enough to not let it get to them and can still make money, but that's not me. I'd just completely write it off and save my energy for every other night of the month. I'd just consider it the expense of doing business while preserving my sanity.

Omg by the end of the night I bitched out a guy for giving me a $1 torn in half and quickly rubbing my boob. I didn't notice that second because he put it in my garter after I gave another guy a LD.

FYI: this guy had pulled this same quick boob touch # earlier but didn't want a $5 LD.

Back to the story: I turn around and notice 3 seconds later and bitched him out! I told him he shouldn't come to the strip club if he was going to be so fucking cheap. I had never before bitched anyone out at a strip club before that. Then I was pissed at myself because I let that "Fat Fuck" push my buttons.

I had a couple other guys try that quick boob feel and want to tip 0-$1 when I was working the floor. I don't got to work to want to slap guys so I took the day off.

btw: No offense to any of the male members that are "Fat Fucks" on this site.

Elvia: I can't complain about the other nights so this is a grrrrreeeat plan! I could bring my LSAT or Sales books to work to stay on top of my reading. After my stage rotation I can do a walk through to see if anybody requests a dance. If not, I'm back in the DR studying! Since it's required once p/month I will look at the positive side. Then I can work early the next day because I didn't let the night drain the pure life out of me! I agree, it's degrading to me (but that's only my personal newbie opinion). As I mentioned before they don't reduce the house fee, support staff tip outs, or even valet for dancers. Why do the dancers have to reduce the price of our service? I think it is fantastic if any dancers can bank on these nights. If you are one of them, please start a thread with some pointers.

I've worked at clubs that had these kinds of nights, but they never forced me to work, so I would just stay home. Most of the clubs I've worked at have a 2-4-1 special that they run on normal nights. I just tell the customer that I don't do 2-4-1s. If they ask me why, then I tell them straight up that dancing for peanuts makes me feel sad and I don't give good lapdance when I'm sad. Some guys respond positively and pay me for two dances and some walk away, but nobody ever gets mad at me or anything.

Can you go to work and just tell dudes that you don't do the cheap dances? You could also change your dance style and do a super tame air dance, keeping 3 feet between you and the customer and not taking your clothes off until the dance is almost over. You know, just do 5 dollars worth of dance.

i think most girls would find it degrading. i don't think its a newbie thing. i can't imagine that anyone could possibly bank on that night. you'd need to do 60 dances to make $300, which is not banking to me, and that's before any tipping out. 60 dances?! i don't make my money from dances mainly so to me that sounds like a crazy amount to do or sell, esp on a night with every other girl at the club working. and those guys sound like complete disgusting assholes
if its only once a month, just say fuck it and pay the house fee and don't worry about selling. i totally agree with that. i do that most saturdays, i don't like the type of guys that come in weekends vs weekdays.
but i think that's the best strategy, because banking doesn't seem to be an option without perhaps killing yourself in the process!
    good luck

The 2nd club I work at, we do dance specials, and I find it to be twice the work. Especially on a slow night. The 1st club I work at, our prices are fixed all around. So for me to do a dance for $5, seems rather daunting and selling myself short kinda. But that's just me. The guys do tip on stage, so that's nice.

Either way, it's still pulling teeth with some of these dudes.

There is a club in my area that does what they call The Dirty 30.

It's $30 for three songs. When the manager first explained how it worked he basically told me that the customers were getting ripped off because each song was only a minute long.

The best part? The house took $10.

Taylor, I know this is a little off topic but I wanted to say, dealing with these assholes and understanding how to handle them is all part of the learning curve. You're a smart girl with a positive attitude. Just remember, for every 20 jerks, there will be one really cool guy that will give you a ton of money. It's a numbers game, don't let the cheap ones discourage you. Also, do a bullshit dance for five dollars and walk off, don't ever put up with guys' crap or let it get to you.

Well said J.D.! The club I work at was doing this thing for a while where we had a day during which they would let the guys come in for free. It brought in alot more customers for us - alot of customers who wanted a free show, didn't want to buy dances, or even tip on stage. It was frustrating, but I always seemed to make my money on these nights, because I would seek out the guys that wanted to spend and get them spending on me. It took a bit of patience to weed through all of the losers in the crowd, but it can be done. All you need is one guy to make your night.

So Taylor, if I were you - this is how I would handle the situation. Does your club offer a champagne room or private area? If they do, this is what I would be pushing to every single guy I talk to that night. I would refuse to do the $5 dances and when they ask why they can't get a $5 dance from you, tell them that your dances are so sexy, sensual and exciting that the only place you can do them is in a private room, away from everybody else. If they insist on the $5 dance (which some of them will because now you have some thing they can't have), give them the most bs dance ever, all the while reminding them that they get what they pay for and enforce "no touching" out on the floor for yourself. It sounds like they are grabby to begin with, so when they try to touch remind them of the private room again and how much better their experience will be with you up there. The other road to take is to refuse the $5 dance all together and insist on CR's only - that's a bit risky, but if you play it right it could also totally pay off. Hope this helps.

^ i think that's a great technique for upselling a CR from a dance normally bigblueeyes, but might be pretty difficult in this situation. $5 to a champagne room is a huge difference. let's say the lowest amount a guy could possibly spend for a CR is $200 (and this i'm making up, i've never heard something so cheap) but anyway, these assholes that come in could get 40 dances for that money each from a different girl. so if they're going to spend that money on one girl, they're probably gonna want a damn good "dance".
but that could be how the OP implements Elvia's advice of not making any money and not caring. tell the guys VIP or nothing and when its nothing, no loss at all. if it ever is VIP then that's a big gain.
i'd be interested to know if the club even has a VIP/CR area or not.

That's exactly what I'm suggesting, all or nothing because you're right, it really is no loss at all. There's always going to be cheapos in the club, no matter what, it's just that nights like these seem to attract more of them and thus requires a quicker VIP hustle than most.

As far as a guy wanting a "damn good dance" if he does go there, I work at a club that actually does have that scenario of per dance price vs. price in a private room. In fact a guy can get 30 dances on the floor for the 3-6 dances he'd get with me for a full hour (I don't dance the whole time). What I find deters the grabby cheapies from taking adavantage of that situation is that the moment they touch me I let them know they better be tipping REAL well when we're done if they wanna touch the merch. That usually ends up in them either tipping well after their time is up or putting their hands back at their sides and I don't sound like a prude and spoil the fun.

^^My club is nude and BYOB. We have a VIP room. First, they buy a $5 bracelet to get in for the night. Then the club has set the price for dances there at $30 which the dancer keeps.
