    Question Glow Poles

So I just got hired today at a club that is getting ready to open soon. I didn't audition so I did not have the opportunity to try out the new poles. I'm accustomed to brass and chrome so my question is, are the glow poles grippy like brass? Or are they a little smoother like chrome?

I've never heard of them! I would assume they are made out of some silicon or plastic material??

If they're the light-up variety they're really grippy, too grippy great for stationery tricks but dreadful for spinning it's impossible to get a right amount of momentum.

Good to know. I do a lot of spins, so it looks like I need to practice more stationary stuff.

i dont know but glowy poles sound fun! Im kinda jealous. are they in neon colors?
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Thanks If they are anything like the glow poles sold at Platinum Stages then they change color to the music which is super awesome. I wanted to try them out but they weren't wired yet

It really depends on the glow pole. Some of them are made out of acrylic and they can be really grippy to really slippy depending, lol. Also I've known some of them to be either wider or slimmer than a normal chrome or brass pole. But maybe it's different where you are. Just make sure you test your grips and such before you attempt anything that could possible get you hurt, even if it's a trick you have done a thousand times. Better safe than sorry!
