eating bananas and drinking low fat cappuchino curbs my cravings and I also make filling veggie soups with clear broths.

Chicken Tortilla Soup Recipe (enough to feed a family of four!)

1 rotisserie chicken (all white meat removed and shredded into pieces)
    1 bunch of cilantro
    1 white or yellow onion
2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
    1 can diced tomatoes
1 or 2 (depending on preference) cans of diced green chiles
6 cans of clear chicken broth
1 package of monterrey jack cheese
    1 packet of taco seasoning
1 bag of frozen corn (NOT sweet corn)
    1 bag of tortilla chips
    1 avocado (optional)

Pour all six cans of chicken broth into a large pot. In a separate skillet, chop onion into large ish pieces and sautee with olive oil for a a few minutes, or until onion begins to get clear and soft. Add onion and olive oil to the chicken broth. Add shredded chicken, and entire can of diced tomatoes, including the juices. Add the green chiles. Chop the cilantro (I use scissors for this) and add to the mixture (minus the stems) Add taco seasoning. Bring everything to a boil. Add frozen corn at the end, and simmer for ten minutes or so. You can add crumbled tortilla chips, shredded cheese, and avocado at the end if you want. This soup tastes even better the next day!

Drink lots of water! Esp. when you're trying to not over-eat. If you drink water with meals it will make you feel full. Plus, it makes your skin look good among other things.

Sometimes drinking water alone is boring so put a little lemon juice in it!

I try to take a multi-vitamin and fish oil everyday. Drink lots of water and drink at least 2 glasses of green tea/day.

Veggie juice before eating. From a juicer, not a blender

    6 carrots
    2 apples
    half a cucumber
    handful of spinach
    half a lime
    bit of ginger

    Tastes amazing

Oh and olive oil on everything, I have it on my toast. And oily fish whenever you can.

I snack on nuts and seeds. Almonds, pistachios and sunflower seeds are my favorites. They're satisfying and full of healthy fats.

I second nuts as snacks. Keeps me full and gives me energy.

I'm a big fan of salads with fish. I don't get bored of them, like, ever. Always low-fat/fat free dressing though.

Other than that I ALWAYS measure my portions...I find my big problem is eating too much of a good thing.

J.D that soup sounds amazing, and the weather is getting cold so it's a good time for soup!

right now i am mostly carnivorous (about 80% meat or fish, usually fairly fatty). the meat is grass-fed and when i eat fish, it's wild-caught. i occasionally eat fibrous vegetables like broccoli, and i have apples or berries occasionally as well. i also eat salad greens from time to time. i also practice intermittent fasting (NOT starvation or dieting). and i cook with bacon fat, palm oil, and coconut oil (not all at once, it would taste weird). also i drink a fair amount of raw whole milk (yummy stuff).

i do pull-ups, including on the pole. and i occasionally do some deadlifting or squats. i have sixpack abs. i don't exercise more than 20 minutes at a time, and usually more like 10-12 minutes a few times a week.

i don't really get food cravings.

since i pretty much eat local and organic/sustainable almost exclusively, i do mostly avoid going out to dinner except where i know the restaurant is also local and organic/sustainable.

awesome tuna salad (i seriously eat the hell out of this!)-- combine 2 cans tuna, 1 avocado, 1 small green pepper (tuna salad gots to have crunch), and salsa (i use the hottest i can find, but any will do). Freakin' amazing...black beans and cilantro go great in it too. It's perfect wrapped in a wheat tortilla, as a sandwich, or straight out of the container.

i also add vegetables in EVERYTHING possible. I buy a 6 ounce tub of spinach from Krogers for $3 something every week and i add it to sandwiches, pasta, soup, pizza, etc. Broccoli is another great "add to everything" vegetable.

I love salads and always make homemade salad dressings. My current fav is raspberry balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It's very simple but delicious!

I eat lot's of fish and chicken and I always eat it with something green.

I drink lot's of herbal tea with chocolate or vanilla flavored soy/rice/almond milk.

Real oatmeal in the morning with a bit of brown sugar and almond milk

Egg whites with spinach and veggies

Split pea or lentils soup with water, tonnes of spices, onion and garlic! I hate using broths in the can or packages because they have way too much sodium!

I have celiac disease and am trying to recover from leaky gut and other food sensitivities due to that, so right now my diet is corn, soy, gluten, and dairy free.

I eat: fresh meat, fresh vegetables, rice, and all fruits. Fruit smoothies are a big thing for me. And kimchi. I looooooove kimchi. Good bacteria rocks.

All of Ani Phyo's recipes are perfect. It's the only food I eat! Recently went raw, absolutely extatic about it. And I have ridiculous amounts of energy booming out of me!

Oh, also, I am hooked on this cottage cheese dip:

    16oz. low-fat, small-curd cottage cheese
    8oz. package low-fat cream cheese
    3/4 cup non-fat mayo
Red wine vinegar to TASTE (Bridget says she likes a lot)
    Celery salt
    Pepper

Blend ingredients together. This dish is best is refrigerated a few hours before serving. Serve with reduced fat Ruffles or vegetables (sliced carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers).

Almost embarrassed to say but it is from Bridget on The Girls Next Door.

I also added some fresh lemon juice, parsley and dill. My favorite veggies to eat it with are cucumbers, snow peas, and baby carrots.

make sure your 'low-fat' ingredients don't contain corn syrup or other sugars to replace the flavor of the fats.

The Gourmet Nutrition book is unreal, it breaks down nutritional values (calories, protein, carbs, etc.) for every dish, all dishes are categorized by whether you can eat them at any time, or after workout only, you can prepare almost anything in it in under 20 mins., and everything I have tried out of the book tastes absolutely amazing, like to the point that you would actually cook the stuff whether it was good for you or not.

For anybody here who is on or interested in a raw food diet, there is a downloadable series of cookbooks at http://www.liverecipebook.com/live.html. I have 2 raw food days per week, and this book has helped me out a lot with eating well.
