    Question Questions about standard shifts/schedules?

    Hi!
I'm going tomorrow to try to apply/audition to dance. I've got a little pole dancing experience but ZERO stripping experience.I'm scared as hell but really really need a little extra money to cover bills. Here is the catch...

I work a full time day job and have family obligations (as in having to set up daycare to work) and I'm just wondering how flexible most clubs are. Will they let you work shorter shifts? Will they work around a complicated schedule? I don't want to waste my time or thiers, but I think this is something I'd really like to try.

    Also,
Anyone familiar with WA state stripping laws? Someone said I need a license?? Thanks!

Yup, you need to be licensed in WA. Last I checked... it ran about $200.

Honestly... it really depends on the club... some of them expect you to work 3-4 shifts a week, some of them don't care if you're on schedule at all. Likewise with how long you're there. Some clubs expect 6-7 hours... some clubs will let you leave whenever you want.
In my experience, most clubs will work with you as long as you're making money and not causing problems with customers/other dancers.
But, of course, you'll have to ask the manager at the club you're hoping to work at.

I think the Vu is a 3 day a week thing, not sure about other clubs though.

Yes, you have to pay for a license in WA. I'm pretty sure if you win the AC at the Vu and other clubs they will pay for the license fee. I don't know anything about how the clubs schedule.

It's different everywhere but at my club we get charged late fees if we get there after 9, and we have to work at least 3 shifts or we get charged a missed shift fee.

Oh that's funny... you're probably going to be working with one of my old managers. xD

    DevusDeath...
How was it working there? I heard a few horror stories circulating...but not one would actually confirm them. Just rumors? I had two xStrippers tell me not to even bother trying to strip in WA right now. Are they right?

    Thanks

Well. I didnt' work up there, we just borrowed their manager for a little while.
He said the girls there make money, and that the biggest problem he had was with girls showing up too drunk and that they'd do a lot better if not for that.
We also had a pair of girls come down from that club as well (travelling all over the country)... they both gave positive reviews of the clubs.
This was maybe three months or so ago?

Idk... I think with every city, there are girls who think it's working and girls who think it isn't.
