Default Dallas and the smoking ban

How have Dallas clubs coped with the smoking ban? Did the custies come back? Or are they all in Ft. Worth now?

I think the economy has had more of an effect on the strip clubs than the smoking ban.

When it passed in AZ in 2004 there was no effect, and CA has been nonsmoking for 10 years.

It seems to be the same story everywhere when the smoking ban goes into effect- business takes a dip for a short time (about a month? That's what I always heard and what seemed to happen in Portland) and then it picks right back up again. People aren't willing to forgo going out forever.

It's a good reason to quit if you're a dancer. Gives you an edge over the girls who have to get dressed and go out every hour for a smoke!

I can't wait for this to happen in nc. January 24th(the day my club goes non smoking) could not get here fast enough. I'm tired of smelling like an ashtray.

OMG! I thought this was only happening in the county I used to work in, but I just checked online and it's happening all over NC!

I've actually seriously been worried about my long-term health lately because when the lights go on at the end of the night in my current club you really notice how CLOUDY the damn place is. Every morning after I worked the previous night I drink Emergen-C because I just feel *ill* from the smoke.

It's so shitty to have to choose between your livelihood and your health.

Smoking indoors hurts workers and is as unsafe a working condition as exposing a worker to harmful amounts of coal dust or chemical cleaners without proper protection.

Also January 24th is the day after my birthday

There is no smoking in ft worth. I went to jags in ft worth and guys have to pay extra to smoke in a side room area. Dallas is slow right now but better money then ft worth though you don't have to do the back ground shit in ft worth I still made three time the money in a Dallas club with less contact then ft worth.
