    Default Psychic/Tarot Phone Work?

I was looking at some PSO jobs and ran across some psychic/tarot phone line work. Has anyone had experience with this? Is it lucrative at all? Positives? Negatives? Good companies to work for? I am curious. I have been reading tarot cards for years and am interested. Thanks.

I've read Tarot for years and have been on a couple of lines. It's not lucrative unless you get in on a top site that pays out. Most of these sites, you end up making something like 30 -50 cents a minute. But getting on a top site that pays out 60% of the call is pretty rigorous. You go through at least 3 test readings and have to commit to being on the line at least 30 hours a week.

Keen.com is virtually identical to NiteFlirt (they used to be owned by the same company) and lets your set your own rates, so you get somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% of what you charge per minute. You have to build your own traffic & that can take a while, but as I never read tarot cards over there, so I couldn't really tell you how popular it is or how good the money would be. I would advise that you mention your years of experience on your profile (if you go w/them that is).

For more info, you might take a peep at the wahm (stands for work at home mothers) forums. Very low traffic forum, but there is some info there. Other options for setting your own price (either immediately or eventually) include WeRLive, the sister site to ImLive, Liveperson.com, PhoneFate (assoc. w/TalkSugar, use at your own risk).

Basically, from what I've found, many phone sex websites/services owns/runs a phone psychic line as well.

Also, you have several options on how to provide tarot/psyhic readings depending upon the website/company you go with: make recorded listings, do email readings (usually with a minimum word count), use an in-site chat client that you'd get paid for, do webcam readings, in addition to pay-per-minute phone chat.

I know one person IRL who enjoyed working for a dispatch psychic line, but it was so many years ago, he doesn't remember what they were called.
