Most of the agencies that claim to place dancers are scams. Usually some pervert guy who might ask you to dance or pose for him. The other scam is they'll ask for money upfront.

BUT, you did say "usually" so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. No sleazy man here and no $ paid to agency for house dancers and just industry standard commission after completed jobs for features.
I'd only get an agent if you want to do more (feature, parties, model etc) but once again you can do most of this without a true agent.
No true either. Modeling can be done w/o but isn't suggested since you could get yourself into nasty situations on your own. Featuring CANNOT be done without an agent. Not sure about parties cause I don't do them or book them.
