Nightmare on Elm St. (Johnny Depp gets murdered in the most gory fashion).

First one that comes to mind is "28 days later", great zombie flick.
I also loved "30 days of night"... awesome vampire movie!!!

Pet Semetary and the original Carrie....The 70s horror film, " Girl Next Door" is also one of the most disturbing movies I've EVER watched.

Most zombie movies, i love zombies. Also 30 days of night, because of the simple fact that its probably the only vampire movie in the last 10 years that generates the "OMFG A FUCKING VAMPIRE! RUN!" reaction that all vampires should rather than the popular "OMFG A VAMPIRE! I WANNA FUCK HIM" that seems so common lately. Vampires are supposed to be scary monsters, not faggy pretty boy emos damnit.

Serpent and the Rainbow is awesome. I hadn't thought about that one in a long time. Based on a true story, btw.
I do like a bit of comedy mixed w/ my horror.
Scream (only the original), Shaun of the Dead, 28 Days later. I just saw Zombieland. It was funny, but fell a bit flat for me. And not enough zombies. I also saw Jennifer's Body. It didn't suck, had a great ending but I guess I was expecting, um...more?
Oh yeah, there was an old horror film from the sixties I saw on TV, a couple of old ones, actually. There was one where this guy is sending these beautiful women gifts and then murdering them. This one woman gets some binoculars in the mail, when she tries them out, these screwdriver thingies come out and go through her eyes and into her brain! And in another scene, a woman is sleeping and there is a gulliotine (sp?) set up from her ceiling (that she doesn't know about) and then off w/ her head.
I can't remember the name of this one.
Damn, I'm on a roll. Another old one: Theater of Horrors. Vincent Price is a once favored stage actor of (New York?) critics. Then they start hatin on him. Then he starts murdering them. He gives this super fat critic (a guy) a heart attack at his fave restaurant, by serving this guy his adorable poodles on a silver service. (This after he had been eating. He asks what is the wonderful ingredient that makes his meal so good. Then the bring him the skeletons of his dogs w/ the puffy poodle fur arranged artistically).
There are way gorier films out there, but the acting, the timing and suspense made these just stick with me. Ewww!!!!
