here's an article about the long term effects of meth:

my best friend from high school had a meth habit for years. She ended up losing her marriage and kids and eventually being homeless before she was able to quit. One of her daughters has disowned her but her youngest doesn't remember the years she used, so the youngest is in facebook contact with her.
I think a lot of the effects are long term, but manageable. I've never done anything harder than mj, so i can't really relate to what it must be like to deal with those symptoms for a long period of time.
You might ask your dr. If you could experience relief from the use of deprenyl. It is used in parkinson's patients who suffer low dopamine production that causes their condition. Although it kind of sounds like apples and oranges, as meth damages the dopamine receptors, not it's production. There might be something similar out there that repairs the receptors or helps the receptors to work more efficiently.
I like this kind of science-y stuff. Maybe i should consider going into neurobiology instead of economics.
