woo hoo! Good luck! Be sure to take before and after photos! My GF got her forehead done in June and the results were awesome! She looks at least 5 years younger! It's still working too almost 6 months later. It's only just starting to go back now.

I'm getting restylane in a week and half in my lips! Can't wait too!

Botox is a wonderful investment in yourself. I've tried creams that cost hundreds of dollars, but nothing compares to the instant results I got from botox. Wish I could afford to do it again right now. Maybe after Christmas...

    You'll love it. I know I did.

I think it's wonderful. I found a new derm last year who NEVER leaves me bruised and has an amazing technique for small lines around the eyes (I get them underneath when i smile). I'm going next Tuesday!!

    * The only thing about the eye treatment is that the more athletic a woman is, the quicker it wears off But for a while I look cuter.

Ugh. I have a love/hate relationship with botox. Everytime I swear I'm NOT getting it again and I do.

LOVE the forehead creases vanishing and esp the slight brow lift

HATE the way it makes me feel. Heavy brow, pressure headaches, tired. Bleh.

Next time I'm getting a filler in my forehead lines and my lower brow be damned!

This is good information! I never had any side effects, but it is good to know that some people may experience them.

Never had it or could afford it but I am always interested...

What about a theory that the muscles then atrophy and make you look even older without. Read it somewhere.

I'm 34 and have a slight line almost forming on forehead and two slight lines next to my eyes, so I keep feeling like I can cure it with Vitamin E or something (like drinking more water - incidentally I used to drink a ton before I tried meth a few times, now I no longer have a taste for it).

I also don't like how some women look frozen and you can tell they've had it.

    Still I am curious....

I've read this too. Incidentally, it was on some sort of marketing material for a face cream. When Botox came out, cosmetic face creams took a huge hit, and had to make up for it with sneaky marketing. Truth is, yes if you over Botox your face, and your muscles don't move for long, long periods of time, other muscles end up having to compensate, and this may change the way your face ages, however this is rare and not a major concern. I always let me face have a "break" between Botox sessions to avoid this.

I'm only 27 but I have a little acne scarring on my forehead and would love to get a filler to cover it up. Hopefully someday soon!

About a month after I got botox I noticed that one of my eyelids was very droopy. I didn’t know it was a side effect of botox so I didn’t make the connection. About 3 months later I went in to get more botox and asked the Dr. if my droopy eyelid was because of the botox. She said NO and GAVE ME MORE BOTOX! Now either she doesn’t know that ptosis of the eyelid is a side effect of botox or she just strait up lied to me so she could make money. In either situation she really has no right to be giving people botox (and god knows what else) IMO. Anyways, my eyelid got worse. It bothered me so much that I was going to have $5,000 surgery on it. However, while doing research about the surgery, I found out that ptosis is a side effect of botox. And I got very very angry. It’s been about 7 months since I had botox and my eye is a lot better, but there is still some asymmetry. I’m very scared that it will permanently be like this. It just is so frustrating because I know that I did this to myself. : ( It’s not like I went to some cheapo place either. This Dr. is voted the 2nd best in the local paper, by the city. Guess I should have stuck with the 1st lol. I have tried doing research on this and as far as I could tell there are no permanent side effects of botox. However I think the botox has worn off and my eye is still like messed up! Does anyone know what I can do about it?

FYI under the new US 'national health care' bill, after the first of the year Botox treatments become subject to a new 5% surtax ! Thus you may want to move up your appointment before the end of 2009.

Ive had it twice, first time 3 years ago, then once again last year..got rid of my frown line..
But now Im really into HotYoga, and we sweatsweatsweat in a heated room, and they say it rids the body of all toxins..Botox is a toxin, so I would assume Id be sweating out my botox faster if I did it again..
A doctor said dont be silly, and then tried to convince me to get big lips, so I dont trust his opinions..
Any HotYoga or Bikram yoga girls with any stories??Do you think it gets rid of the Botox faster?

    THANX

^ I think you are right. Too much steam room or sauna also would have the same effect.

I talked to my derm about that yesterday when i went to see her. She said it isn't set in stone, so to speak and will most likely not happen in the beginning of 2010, but there is a good chance that it will happen sometime next year.
