Default just a quick question for the dancers...

hey new on this site and all...and i just had a couple of questions...i've only been to a club like once..and i was just curious...i had this really nice girl pretty much by my side from when i got there, and she was really friendly...i think we may have had like 4-5 drinks each..and i think i got like, 5-6 lap dances..i was just curious if i should be tipping her periodically at the bar for her time, or is that rude? we talked most of the night and kind of just hung out..either way..i dunno. lol. i apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Tipping is never rude and always appreciated, especially when a dancer is spending a lot of time with you and you're enjoying yourself.

It's definately appreciated... sitting with you cuts down on time she could be making elsewhere, so it's definately nice when someone wants to tip you for your time as well as buy dances.

I hate when guys who don't tip me for my time. I find it to be rude. But it happens a lot...I think they forget sometimes it is my job.

Hells ya. If she is spending time with you, you should tip her. Sounds like you've got a good dancer there since she was too polite to tell you what to do hehehe.

I think you did perfectly fine. 5-6 dances is a good $100-$120. We always accept tips, but with me, if you bought my drinks for me and it wasn't too long- I would never blatantly ask you for a tip; though I'd be thrilled if you offered.

If you were buying dances, then she probably wasn't expecting you to tip for drinking and bullshitting. I feel like each lapdance comes with a free 10 minutes of drinking and bullshitting. That's about how much time it would take me to sell a dance to someone else anyway.

That said, tipping is never rude. We want you to tip as much and as often as possible. Tip tip tip.

^ I disagree. I wouldn't say each dance = 10 mins of talking. How much are the lap dances worth? I was guessing $20? Where I work they are $100, so that would be $500-$600 and even then I sure wouldn't talk for 50mins-60mins for free. Unless it is a quiet night. I wouldn't ask to be tipped for talking, but I just politely excuse myself when the money stops or there is no chance of another dance. But I guess that is all dependent on the style of club, how busy it is, price of dances, etc.

^^Dances are $100? Where do you work? Is your house fee like $200?

I didn't mean that I would stick around for an hour after the 6 dances were over. Just that if it took me an hour to sell a guy 6 dances, I wouldn't feel ripped off. I don't expect to be paid extra for the time that it takes me to sell a dance. It's included in the price already, whatever that price may be.

Now, if the guy is not buying dances, or only buys one or two, then he'd have to pay extra to keep me around.

^ Ah I see ya makes sense I guess. An hour still seems like a long time for only $100 but if the club is quiet I would certainly do the same.

I work in several clubs in Australia. Sydney and Melbourne. Dances range from $50 - $130+. I rarely do $50 dances. One club I work at you are pretty much allowed to charge whatever you want lol. There I charge $130 usually. House fees range from $40 - $120 depending on the night, club etc. Other clubs charge a commission rate usually somewhere around 10% instead of a house fee. Others a rate per show for the "room hire" - the minimum take home per dance would be $50, but again I usually charge more depending on if the club allows it. I'm always a bit hesitant if I talk to American customers cause I know they'll crap their pants when I say the price, but here that's normal and here prostitution is also legal so I think in general it sounds like we get hassled for extras a little less, as we just point them in the direction of the nearest brothel lol. Our dances are longer though... usually 2 - 3 songs, but some clubs 15 mins,. But again a lot of girls cut the dances short so they can get more customers. I don't usually do that though...bad karma I think. We have no tip outs in Australia though. Tipping in Australia is not expected (although many people still do it). I always tip my bar tenders when I get drinks, security or the DJ when I make $1K.

^^Oh well, if the dances are that long, then it works out to be about the same. At my club we get 30 and the dances are timed at 3 minutes.
