    Default Dollar Dance

Any of you guys have this at your club? I'm new to dancing so I thought that it was a popular thing to do, but I saw a sign outside my club that says "home of the dollar dance". Just wondering if you guys did this too?

Both clubs I've worked at did something like this. One did dollar dances, the other one did 2-dollar dances. Maybe your club is the only one in your area that does it?

I dunno. Guess so though. I'm glad to know that other clubs do it too though bc its actually pretty fun most of the time.

Dollar dances have been around as long as I've been dancing. I don't know how it is now, but back then it was a short (30 seconds or so) dance. Some girls went topless and others didn't (I didn't).

I worked at a club where after your stage sets, you'd dance on the bar for each customer, for about 30 seconds at a time. Everyone drinking at the bar was obligated to tip, or they'd be kicked out. No contact, a little booty shaking. It was a great way to rustle up money from a stage set. i guess it was kind of like dollar dances, and sometimes you'd get more than a dollar. Man, I'm making myself miss that club now!

Was that by any chance a jukebox club? I once worked at one where after you danced, you went around and did a little dance and all at the bar gave a dollar for the jukebox. That was one of my first clubs.

I worked at one club in the city of Chicago that did dollar dances. Not sure if they still do anymore And then two in New Orleans. To be honest as nice as it was to kno you were going to make a little extra cash... it was really more of a hassle. I hated it.

No, we had a DJ. It was Visions in New Orleans East. Though I have worked at a club that had a jukebox. It had a pretty kickass selection, too!

I've worked at clubs that did both the tip walk (girls ask for tips from the people at the bar after their stage set) and the dollar dances (30 second lap dance). Personally I'm not a fan of either, there are a lot better ways of starting a conversation with potential customers than "Would you like to tip me?" or "Would you like a sample dance?". I'll do it if I have to, but I pretty much am old fashioned and deem it as bad manners.

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

At my club we have to do them. They tell all the girls to come out topless and find a guy holding up a dollar bill. We then dance for him for about 15 seconds and move on to the next guy. This goes on for about 8 or so rounds. I think its a good way to "meet" all the guys in the club and pick your next target for real dances. However, most of the guys getting dollar dances don't want to pay for the real thing.

I absolutely loved the dollar dance clubs. It was an excellent ice breaker and a good way to approach for a private dance w/o wasting a lot time on chatting, because as soon as the quickie preview was done, I'd ask for the dance and if he said no thanks I'd just move on the the next guy.

I'd easily make $40 just on the dollar dances, and would rarely make an entire circuit of the club w/o closing at least a lap dance sale. It is an excellent tool for the newbie dancer to get used to asking for private dances, too.

The only time Dollar dances are lame is when the club is slow. It's a lot of pressure on the 5-10 guys that are there to keep tipping the girls every few minutes.

I do dollar dances if I think it will benifit me, if not then I don't. Like if I only need three more dollars to have an even number. Or if I know I can sell a whole dance to someone after a dollar dance, or If I'm bored or on one of those "every little bit helps" nights
