    Default cross-country strip trip?

Hey girls, so my friend and I want to drive her car from California to Washington DC (where she lives and works). We thought it would be awesome to dance in cities that we stop in! Anybody else do this? I know a lot of girls have traveled and danced before, but anyone do a cross-country road trip? Any suggestions of cities or clubs to try? I was thinking going the southern route is better because of weather (we want to go right after xmas).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

^^^ AAA and other roadside assistance services. As silly as this sounds I used to have a CB Radio in my car because I was always driving in places that didn't have cellular service.

Lizzy, Nakita will be able to help you out a lot. I'd also recommend cities like Dallas & Houston. Dallas you'll need a permit though.

Definitely try Dallas and Fort Worth! Then, maybe Shreveport and Biloxi. Also, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina can be really great if you go at the right time! Good luck!

oh man, the bugs! i got over that after being in costa rica for a summer. I've always been a girlie-girl, but the chick I was with was even more of a diva than I am, so I had to man-up and kill the cockroaches!

So you need a permit in Dallas, but not all of Texas though right? I don't know if we have time to deal with getting permits etc. And Nakita, we will definitely try to make it to FL

Yes, certain parts of Texas require a permit - including Dallas. However, there are plenty of other cities that don't.

I've literally driven all over the country from NYC to LA multiple times, and from Seattle to Miami a few more and I've hit every little town in between. I haven't worked in all of them, not by a long haul, but I've worked in quite a few, and I even did most of my travelling alone, and definately all my club working alone. I've never felt threatened, never had any problems, never was scared on the open road, driving alone, although everyone seemed to think I should have been.

All I can say is--go for it! I personally love travelling, and when you dance along the way, it makes it so much more fun AND more profitable! You can even travel without spending ANYTHING, and chances are, if you are a good hustler, adaptable and smart, you can arrive at your destination with MORE money than you've ended up spending getting there.

As for going from Cali to the east coast--in winter, PLEASE take the 10! You will VERY MUCH regret taking I-70 pretty much any time of the year. There are NOT a lot of good places to stop and dance in along I-70 (minus east STL, at the Hustler club out there), and it's SUPER cold and at high elevations so cars run badly and breaks smoke AND you have to drive through the "hills have eyes" portion of Utah, 200 miles of NO GAS STATIONS. Trust me. I almost died out there! NO FUN.

If you take I-10, things are MUCH better! I actually did the drive from Tampa to San Diego this past Feb and ended up dancing in Tampa, New Orleans, Houston, Galveston, Albuquere, Phoenix, and San Diego (and then, obviously LA). I was gonna go up the coast to Seattle, but LA was so good I had to quit while the quitting was good. I coulda worked San Antonio, but I was lazy, and the same could be said for Flagstaff, which I also detoured through. Granted, I didn't always stay on the 10, and the 10 through western Texass fucking SUCKED SO BAD, but at least the speed limit was 80MPH most of the time AND it was still warm, even in Feb.

NOLA isn't off the 10, but it's worth the detour to go see, and to dance in. I did ok there, as I did in Tampa, although it was Superbowl time there when I worked (and Mardi Gras time in New Orleans when I got there--went east to west).

Basically, you can't go wrong going south, and definately wrong going north. Stay south. Texass is fun to work in, if for the people watching alone. Galveston is a fun island and they only have one strip club on the actual island--a place called "Wispers" (someone forgot the H) and it's this divey little club run by a biker dude from my hometown of KC. They have live music AND strippers on some nights, and many a fishtank and cheap cheap alcohol. It's a topless joint, and the back of the stage is a door up the dressing room! I loved working there and made BANK!

ANyways--good luck! I am planning a strip trip soon myself. Probably up the west coast, from LA to Seattle, although I'm thinking of maybe doing the northeast as well.

Dallas does require a permit, but honestly, it is really easy to get! Once you walk into a club and get hired, the management will actually DRIVE you to the fingerprinting place to get your permit! (The whole Cabaret Royale/Babydolls chain of clubs do this)

But even if you drive, it's literally less than ten minutes away, and only takes 20-30 minutes to complete the entire process. AND, none of it goes on your record or follows you in any way! So, I would say it is definitely worth it to stop in Dallas and work, especially if you already are going to work in Fort Worth, Dallas is right next to FW, and a great city to check out! The fingerprinting ordinance is really not that big of a deal.

Have tripleA and keep your phone charged! Car breakdowns are so rare ( my only one in 8 years happened a mile away from my house ) .

Well, I live in Dallas and have danced at 99.9% of all the clubs out here at some point. Lately I have been traveling, and I am trying to transition out of dancing and settle down somewhere, so I have only worked here and there at Silver City. I know there, you can just show up at 6 or 7 and work that same day. It's like that at most of the clubs in Dallas, actually. Very easy! Fort Worth is even easier because there's none of that fingerprinting nonsense, just go in, fill out paperwork, and get on the floor!

One thing to bear in mind: if you have any type of felony on your record it will be difficult to dance in Dallas AND Fort Worth. DWI and PI are done on case by case basis, meaning most of the time they don't matter, but they can turn you down if you have one (although it's rare, and used mainly to clean house of the girls they wanted to get rid of anyways) If you have ANY TYPE OF PROSTITUTION OR LEWD DANCING CHARGES ON YOUR RECORD WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS YOU CANNOT WORK IN DALLAS OR FORT WORTH!

Thanks for the info. We definitely don't have any felony or misdemeanor charges, so that's not an issue.

I'm thinking we want to time it so we do a couple days in Dallas and then end up in New Orleans for NYE
