I use the Nutiva brand "cold pressed organic extra virgin coconut oil" purchased at Whole Foods. I have dry skin and hair so I use it just out of the shower. Even though I use hair conditioner, it's not enough so I put it on my wet hair and scalp.

Thank you for the additional uses-especially putting it in oatmeal, and as a personal lube.

Wow! What kind of dye do you use? I would love to try this, but only if it will work with my good ol' L'oreal Excellence.

I use Kuumba Made's Vanilla Coconut oil. It's calls itself "100% certified organic", and only contains coconut oil & vanilla. It might not kill you to eat it, but I use it for general slathering of every single inch of me (okay, not the jj or my butthole... yet). Smells uh-real good, if you're into warm, gourmand-y stuff like I am.

Great for shaving! I slather it all over my bikini area after I shave, and it helps with razor burn and dryness a lot.

It's also a lovely personal lubricant... Very pleasant warming effect.

Oh and I posted this on one of the food threads, but, as long as you're not overly sensitive to it, adding a tbsp or two in your morning coffee and processing it in a blender makes a frothy, coconut-y cappuccino-like drink.
“The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating -- in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”

I slather my body in coconut oil. Ever since the first time I tried it, I love how it felt. Right out the shower, skin still damp. I walk right past most body lotions these days. Only for a special evening or a night out do I bother to use scented lotion and only to mix with my coconut oil. No complaints here. I love when it's firm and I melt a piece as I rub it into my skin.

I also use grapeseed oil. It is much easier to transport since the one I use is in a spray bottle. I wish coconut oil came in a spray bottle, but that's not possible.

I actually thought the same thing pleasurevictim, im sure most of us have - coconut oil in a spray bottle. I have an old pump from a bottle of stuff i bought for my hair ages ago which is a coconut oil for hair but not the same as the other stuff, i may just empty that, clean it out and put my good stuff in it Just a thought

Coconut oil is the only thing I've found that actually moisturizes my feet effectively. I also put some on my dog's food every morning and eat a bit myself.
