Lightbulb Entertained the idea for 9 years... Do I sound right for the job?

    Hi gals (and guys )

I'm 21 and I live in Kansas. My mother was a Gogo Dancer long ago and my older sister was a stripper, so dancing has always kind of been in the family. Around the age of 11-12 I started entertaining the idea of someday becoming a dancer, and now I'm burning out of my 3-year retail job, and I want to get some exercise.

I plan on applying at Pleasures, which is a club my sister worked at. It's a full-nude blue-collar club.

    A little about me...

I am on the curvy side with about 5-10 proportionally distributed lbs, slightly toned, 5'4", shoulder-length brown hair (gonna dye it auburn though), D-cup breasts. I'm a Junior in college getting great grades.

I've never been afraid of the stage, and I'm not terribly shy when it comes to showing off. Street-clothes wise, I tend to look great in business-casual, and I do dress conservative, but I do have a naughty side that guys love.

In High School, I was in plays and didn't even care if there were male actors in the room, or how crowded the room was. Other girls would be trying to discreetly disrobe and change into costume. I was throwing off my clothes, walking around in my skivvies, and doing my thing. So I know I don't have a problem taking off my clothes in front of other people or being the center of attention (lead female in the play, btw).

I also look at dancing as a way to empower women rather than become submissive. I know that there are things I can do to a guy without even touching him that get his mind going absolutely wild. And even in bed, I enjoy the rush I get from knowing that any little thing I do gets my guy even more turned on than he already is. I can dress with my neckline a little lower than normal or put on my makeup a different way and I turn heads everywhere I go. As for convincing, my retail position is a sales position, and I'm pretty good at what I do, so I know how to talk to people and be charismatic.

I'm not a smoker, not a druggie, never had sex for money, and I do drink on occasion. My mother died about 5 years ago but my older sister has been coaching me and giving me tips on how to start. She's a great teacher, earned a ton as a dancer, and she was taught oldschool dancing tricks, and she's warned me of the dangers and is confident that I'm level-headed enough to not fall into the drugs, prostitution, etc.

I'm slowly backing away from my retail position to give this a shot and freeing up my weekends to do it. I'm aware that this may not end up working out for me, but I've been entertaining the thought of being a dancer for 9 years. Would you all say it's worth it to at least give it a shot after this much fantasizing?

I've told my dad that I want to do it, and he is supportive of me, and I have eager support from my two closest friends, so acceptance is not an issue.

Also, Autumn is probably my top pick for a name, but I've also considered Amaranth, Aurora, Chloe, and Deirdre.

You can only try! If you dont like it then you never have to go back. If you love it then go for it! Its definetly a job for attention lovers! Good Luck! xx (Autumn is a pretty name too!)

Wow, it sounds like you are ready to start! Most people getting into don't plan out or think it through as much as you are (at least I didn't!)

My only advice would be to stick with a simple stage name. Amaranth is beautiful, but drunk guys will have a hard time grasping it. Good luck!

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

I'd go with Autumn. Easiest to say and is still beautiful.

Aurora is nice, but any time there are two consecutive r-syllables ... Well, this can happen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fldR03e51cw

Yeah, I'd say Autumn or Chloe as a back up name. The music can be very loud in most clubs!

Gosh, we don't need to convince you to start!

Don't get hung up on the stage name, have several available because you don't know what is already taken,
