Default Mason Pearson brushes, yes or no?

Thinking of getting a friend a set of Mason Pearson hair brushes, but before I spend about $100 per brush I was curious to see if anyone on here has used them. Any feedback positive or negative is well appreciated.

    Thanks!

I'm also curious to hear about this. I've though about buying them, but they'd better be some kind of miracle hairbrushes for $100.

I've been wanting one forever! Each one is hand made out of real boar bristle, and is supposed to last a lifetime. They are the absolute best brushes to spread and distribute the natural oils of your hair.

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

I have really thick hair. I've used a few natural bristle brushes now that aren't stiff enough to penetrate all the way through to my scalp. Would these brushes work for me?
