    Default Starting a website

I want to do this sometime within the next year or so. I figure I've got another five years as a DJ and that will be enough. Maybe ten but that's pushing it. So something else will be necessary, and I haven't been all that impressed with most adult websites I've seen so far--with a few notable exceptions.

Anyone have any experience with it? I want to do a website based on pinup art and bodypainting, and maybe link to other sites with a classier approach somehow.

I need someone with computer skills to work with me on setting it up. It's gotta be slick looking, no cheese or tacky or lame graphics.

ETA: I am not recruiting, this is not an ad, I haven't even started it yet lol. Just wondering who has had what kind of experience with what kinds of websites.

I've built websites, but honestly my best suggestion for you is to look around at other sites you like, gather ideas and contact their web designers or webmasters for a price quote.

Building an adult website isn't an easy task. you have to decide on what type of adult website you want, how you will provide content. how you will get advertising, if your going to be offering a members area, then what payment method you will be using. ccbill and paycom, verotel are usually the top services used for paysites. are you going to be offering an affiliate program majority of webmasters only join affiliate programs that are under ccbill.

I have ha 3 websites created I thought I would join a company who makes websites and I learned the hard way they only care about themselves and not me. Now I am actually going to start taking a web design course in May 2010 for web design and build my own website. plus you have to buy a domain, domains get taken up so quickly so if you have an idea for a domain name start looking now. godaddy.com, netfirms, or moniker. Whatever content you want to provide you have to decide how it will be created, hiring a photographer or doing it yourself. webcamming is a great feature to add to websites there is many many options out there.

Rude.com and Camz.com offer great tools for peopel who have websites. that is aa good place to start.

You can hire a web designer out there, but that is also a risk finding someone who is good to work wtih. I haven't started my course yet but when I am more into my course I will make a web design service webstie.

If you are in the US and are going to offer girl-girl content, you are also going to have to know the laws involved with adult entertainment....

    Obscenity, 18 USC 2257, 28 CFR 75...

Regardless of the content you will also have to understand intellectual property isses, contractual issues ect.

And I wouldnt bother if its just a photography site. People arent paying for much on the internet anymore, and photos dont sell. You will need a video site. You will be competing with free tube sites such as 8tube.com.
