Default You Ruined it all for Me

I haven't been here for quite a while except for the sporadic drunken visit.

I'll say this - this site gave me a lot of insight. I went from young and stupid horny in a strip club to, "oh.....I know what they're going through...."

The Good Part: I lost the juvenile instant "i'm around naked chicks in a strip club" boner in my sweat pants that I wore with loose boxers.

The Bad Part: The dancers in my area don't get money from me because I don't go because I felt guilt.

Guilt. You all gave me guilt! Okay, not really guilt, but let's say that I quit being a douche-bag. Okay, I didn't quit being a douche-bag in general, but stopped being a douche-bag at clubs.

The last time I was in one, the gal told me I was really nice.....and special. I think she wants me. Right?

Why not go and be that customer that makes a dancers day more enjoyable if you feel so bad? You don't even have to spend tons of cash. If you personally aren't doing anything disrespectful to the dancer, you have no reason to feel guilty.

I agree. This I've always thought was a given to do. One of the things this site hasn't helped me in is that I now realize how much more dancers can "play" on customers/men's feelings and/or how much some dancers disrespect the customers/men that might genuinely are nice and respectful. That's the downer of reading this forum

I don't feel guilty for seeing the dancers naked etc. They chose their profession and are usually very well paid for it. Some dancers here have stated they "only" make $70,000 a year.

I'm college educated and work 60 hours a week and I'm not even near half of that, and yes I deal with crap customers all day too, although they don't want to see me nude (that I know of) or want to feel me up.

^there are more girls on here that make far less than that, than there are girls who do.

Also, I'd say the majority of girls don't play with a customer's emotions on a serious level. Most of us (or at least 1/2) prefer NOT to lead the guy into thinking anything OTC is going to happen.

Respectful customers get treated like kings. Does that mean that I'm going to french kiss, jack off, or go on a date with a good custy; no (although I did take one of my fave custies out to dinner before, my treat). But while they are with me, they can forget about all of their problems in the world, and take themselves back to their teenage days when they were dry humping the homecoming queen under the bleachers.....or something along those lines.

This is interesting, Mojojo liked strip clubs and strippers when he viewed the dancers as somehow not human. But when he came here and saw the girls as actual people with feelings, the experience no long held the same appeal.

If anything, because strippers are real people, I would think the strip club experience would be more satisfying now, than it was when it was a bunch of 2 dimentional fantasies flitting about for the customer's carnal pleasure.

I'd also have everyone know that the people that work for call centers also are human beings. My friend used to work for GMAC (before her job was outsourced to Pakistan) and people would yell terrible things at her all day long. And she dealt directly with the car dealerships for the leasing department, so these are the sales people that were being rude and demanding toward her. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to work in the main customer service section of the business!

People can post anything they want on a web forum. Doesn't mean that it is the honest to goodness truth.

Yes, it is possible to make that kind of income as a stripper, but it is also possible to make that kind of income as a gardener, too. That doens't mean all gardeners make $70k a year, and it doesn't mean all strippers make $70k a year.

In the case of strippers, I'd say about 10-20% earn over $50k a year (net income). It is really difficult to put in the kind of hours that are required to earn more than that. Emotionally, the dancer gets quite fatigued after about 20 hours a week. Not to mention physical fatigue. And even at that, most strippers can't maintain a full time pace indefinitely. For most people, I'd say 5 years dancing full time would be enough to instill a permanent sense of burnout. By full time I mean 40 or more hours a week dancing. The higher the contact levels in the club, the faster the burnout will occur.

Of course, all this is just anecdotal from my personal experiences in the areas I've worked over the last 12 years or so. It would be fascinating to conduct a study to see what the rate of burnout for dancers is when comparing hours worked and level of contact expected.

I don't know. I'm not particularly fond of men thanks to dancing since I was 18. I don't like to be groped, criticized, or be forced upon. Guys in strip clubs have ruined it for me as well. I don't like men anymore. I've been through an awful lot of abuse and mistreatment... Yes, I too am a little resentful.

This site had nothing to with it but...

I enjoyed the whole strip club experience a whole lot more before legitimate friendships developed with several girls and I discerned their true feelings about working in the club and the men they did dances with. Feeling that I was a part of that made the whole customer thing stop working for me. Nowadays, I am friendlier than ever with several of the girls. It just has (almost) nothing to do with the fact that they dance.

I've seen a lot of this in the women I work with, and I don't blame them. This business is so empathy-destructive it's amazing. Not saying the women are always correct, I've had to deal with some king-hell bitches in the last ten years. If you are a man in this business, you quickly learn to thicken your skin just as the dancers must do. Show weakness and they will rip you to shreds, lol.

But overall, from what I've seen, my sympathy tends to be with the dancers.

I've been friendly OTC with several girls for quite a number of years now. That's pretty well killed the fantasy for me as I have few (if any) illusions about dancing and dancers. That's maybe a positive as many of my friends are unconventional in one way or another - and I've found dancers OTC some of the nicest and best company you could have.

A few weeks ago, as a favor to a guy that owns a particular venue, I went to have a look inside a recently opened rival venue. It was the first time I'd been to a venue in 4 - 5 years without coming to pick up a dancer. As I knew few if any of the dancers working, the result was I got hustled for the first time in years. That was a strange experience - being hustled feels so false when you know it is a hustle.

After about 45 minutes, which was the time it took me to get a feel for how the place operated, I made my excuses and left......

^ I think at one point her mormon sugar daddy was giving her $3000 a month ( $1500 every two weeks ), but she essentially " earned " it by putting up with his emotional abuse. I think.

To the original poster ........ you could certainly try to just go back and enjoy a club ( even with the knowlege you have now ... it can still be ENJOYABLE ) . It makes our day when customers buy fairly quickly ( doesn't have to be a huge amount ... just fair ). Whether you enjoy tipping at the stage, talking to one girl, or buying dances, just don't drag out the buying process and you'll seriously have a happy stripper on your hands. If you enjoy conversation first , tip her a little for that before buying dances. If you enjoy an awesome stage show, tell her and she can make it happen. You are purchasing an enjoyable service from a salesperson that gets paid only an commission. If you aren't an asshole and don't waste the girls time, they will be happy and will make your time enjoyable!

Knowing a dancer is being nice/fake to me to sell me dances doesn't bother me one bit. I'm there for the NSA affection, getting drunk, and having fun. If she likes me as a customer, then yipeee, if not, then that's her problem. I don't care either way just as long as I'm being entertained, then it's all good. If you go in with that attitude, then you'll have a lot more fun.

If someone cares about being "hustled," then they have unrealistic expectations of the dancers, ie., that she likes you.

If anything, this site has made me care less about what the dancers think of me, not that I cared much before. I'm enjoying myself more.

I've had a similar experience. I don't think this site changed or swayed my views of dancers at all. It has given me some insight into a lot of different aspects of the strip club scene. Before I found this site I already knew there was asshole customers out there, I just didn't realize how many....

I can only speak for myself, but the problem with all of that are those pesky negative voices inside my head.

I imagine the inner monologue of a beautiful dancer in my lap, who is a real live human female with actual emotions, to be something along the lines of:
"Wow, this guy is dorky. He sure doesn't talk much. He looks like a deer in headlights trying to talk to me; he's probably not used to doing it without a keyboard. I wonder if he's ever had a girlfriend. God this is boring! Maybe I should just ask him for a dance and get it over with quickly. Wait, did he actually say he works as a computer programmer? Any woman on the planet could've guessed that. I wonder if I could fake a problem with my kidney to get away from here..."

I guess I've not really thought about things that way, as my attention is usually focused outward, not inward on how others may be perceiving me. When in the presence of others, especially those I want to sell something to, I'm concentrating on their every word and facial expression. If I noticed a customer was feeling uncomfortable, I'd do my darnedest to distract him away from that feeling, and bring him someplace more pleasant.

I suppose in this day and age, gauging human emotion irl can be tough on most folks being as we interact so much in a virtual environment.
