Duh Newbie Acted Like She Knew EVERYTHING

Last night a new girl started. it was her first time ever dancing in a club. She needed help on EVERYTHING, makeup, pole work, etc... And acted like she knew everything, and didn't need improvement on anything. It was horribly annoying. Yet the housemom was shouting to her across the club to slow her dancing down. And that she was going to wear herself out. (we all know this) Yet she kept doing it... She looked like she had a serious vibrator in her body and was riding a bucking bronco. It did not look good. Me and some of the other girls tried to help her out but its frustrating if they dont want to learn and are like "Oh I know. I got it. I dont need help." Urgh... Anyone else experience this?

Ugh I hate girls like that. Sometimes you can't really change their minds. I worked with some girls that just found it necessary to move so fast constantly and I wonder how in the hell do they keep up the whole night. It's crazy.

if she's just a bitch, then ya i hear you it's annoying to deal with. maybe she is just super nervous though? i feel like i said dumb shit like that when i first started because i was SO scared...scared to dance and look stupid, scared of the other girls, scared out of my mind lol! if it was her very first night, maybe she just needed to hold it together in her head and not listen to anything except whatever it was that made her bold enough to get up there (and ignore good advice!)

if a new girl can't graciously accept advice and cops the "i know it all" attitude, just let her crash and burn.

yeah but she wont make it far if she doesnt slow it down lol.she will get burnt out and quit because as dancing that fast will not get her extra money and she will b to tired for dances. id let her do her thing since she wont listen to ne one and id get on with my day since some people are just stubborn to ne situation.

are you sure she was acting like she knew everything? When i first started, i danced really fast because i hadnt developed the control to slow my dancing down and when i got on stage i was kinda nervous and shaking and things were a blur and my movements were really jerky. The club i worked at was friendly and people were positive, my second week dancing one of the girls gave me advice to slow down and dance to make men want to grab me, and by then i was comfortable enough on stage to process the info enough to start to slow down. it was hard for me to slow my dancing down though! if she was on stage and nervous, a housemom yelling at her to slow down might have been the last thing she needed, it might have embarassed her and made the nervousness worse.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

I like to refer to my first week of dancing as simply "manic gyrating".

Yup, gotta just let it go. They'll learn or they won't. The turnover is always so high anyway that it doesn't even matter. Most don't last. And the ones that do know they don;t know everything and are willing to watch and learn.

Ya I'm sure she was acting like that. If the words "I know I'm doing it right already" came out of her mouth what do you think? Ridiculous. And there wasn't anyone in the club when we were on the stage giving her some mini pole lessons when the housemom came up to us and was telling her to slow it down. Not to mention she was ready to shallack her entire body down with baby oil before leaving the dressing room when we first were all back there. The veteran dancer spotted it. Anyways, ty for that advice, I think sitting back and watching will suffice...

That was me. I've been dancing six and a half months and i've finally learned to slow it down. Part of the problem was I didn't realize how
fast I was dancing, and I would try to slow it down but it was really difficult because I was so fucking scared! A housemom yelling at me in front of all the
employees and girls, even if there were no customers, would have made it
    worse.

But it sounds like this girl just had an attitude, so ignore her. I'm sure another drunk dancer will rip her a new one fairly soon.

I would just laugh and let nature take its course. Her business sure ain't your business. Hustle your money and leave all of the newbie drama at the club!

I can imagine that would be annoying!

I don't dance, but am thinking about starting....if the girls were being nice and trying to give me tips I damn well know I'm going to listen. She's a fool for not taking advice and acting like a know-it-all on her first night. Her loss.
