The latest in my great health history, ha ha.
I've had a lump in my neck just below my ear in that little spot between the ear and jaw bone.
It's gotten bigger, to about the size of quarter, over the last nine months.
My ENT said she felt it in March but it was probably just a scarred lymph node. Asked my asshole GP to double check in June and he said it was nothing and I was worrying too much.
Well now it's doubled in size and pain radiates through my ear and neck.
Went back to my ENT because I got financial assistance with the local hospital (thank god because I have no insurance).
She now claims she can't feel it (that's funny since she felt it last time), had a nurse sit in on the exam (never did before), and scheduled a CT scan (pretty thorough considering she didn't feel anything).
I'm just thankful she's not blowing me off.
Are these CT scans really thorough? Has anyone ever had a similar experience?
This thing just bothers me. I'm just so thankful I can get care, so many other people aren't so lucky.
Just a side note, but I really think it grew exponentially more since I had to quit pot. Hmmm.
