Seriously what's the deal?
So I audition about a month or so ago. While I'm there I see NOT 1 black girl and the doorguy tells me that there's only maybe 1 working there, it's really hard to for us to get hired, and they prob won't let me on nightshift. Being confident in my hotness and abilities I decide to go for it anyway. I've won this battle before in much less diverse towns and won over customers and staff.
So I audition for the day manager (they cancelled the contest the night before because there weren't enough girls and told me I could come back the next day). He's totally cool, goes on about how cute I am, acts impressed about the places I've worked and gives me a day to come back and start.
So the day I'm suppose to work I call because I'm going to be like 5 mins late. He gets on the phone and says he was trying to call me but kept getting a beeping noiseand that he couldn't bring me on because its really slow and they've been cutting girls.
So I think ok. I'm going to take this at face value because I heard from a dancer friend at the club I'm working at that things were a little slower than usual there and the manager seemed genuine. Then I go on zbone today and there's all these posts about x, y, z, new girl and how some of the new girls are heavier than what they usually hire etc.
So now I'm pissed. And I remembered that Plan B and 4play are owned by the same company and I auditioned at Plan B multiple times and always got the run around. Actually I've gotten the run around from any club I auditioned at on the west side and each time (at Plan B and FI) there was a white or latina chick in the back that is surprised I didn't get hired and tells me they just hired her yesterday/a couple days ago blah blah. The manager at FI even tried to send me to work at Burlesque
I am 100% certain this has nothing to do with my attractivnes or how I package myself when I go to audition. What's the deal!? It's almost 2010! Our president is black, Disney just introduced their first black princess, advertisements are featuring more black families. There is no reason why a stripper should have a hard time getting a job at a clean, higher end club in a city as racially mixed as Los angeles.
Ugh Ugh Ugh Uhg Uhg!![]()

and that he couldn't bring me on because its really slow and they've been cutting girls.
