There's a bunch of vids on youtube that should help. That's what I did to learn, lol!

First, try both the strips and the individuals. I used to be terrible at applying strips, but the individuals I was fine with. Now I use both. Most people prefer strips though because they don't take so long to put on and there's a lot of different styles. As for what I prefer, Ardell is a good brand and easy to find at Walgreens, Walmart, etc. Or just whatever is cheap.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I use the strips when I work. I've tried to use the individual, but I couldn't get it right and it was just too much of a hassle. I learned to put them on from youtube too! A tip that helped me was cutting them to fit your eye. They go on so much easier when they are not too wide for your face.

I find the strip ones are easier to use than the individual ones. I buy them at the japanese dollar stores called Daiso, and they are $2 each. If I don't use those, I use Ardell #110.
Duo surgical glue is the best glue to use, because it's easy to remove, yet stays on very well.
I find that the lashes look WAY better if you double them up, instead of just a single strip.
Make sure you cut them, as they are usually too wide, and also make sure you have enough glue on the inner and outer part, cause i often see girls with the inner part coming undone..
This page has an awesome tutorial for putting on fake lashes:

Here is a video from my fav youtube makeup artist, Kandee Johnson. Her videos are so entertaining. I will spend like 3 hours watching them while I'm supposed to be doing homework.
Oh and +1 on Ardell and Duo.

If you are just learning I would recommend buying the elf eyelashes. They are only like 99 cents or a dollar! you can't go wrong. Just throw out the glue that comes with it and get the duo eyelash glue they have it in clear and dark. The dark seems to be pretty popular right now. Good luck!

Same here...I love those eyelashes...my mom gets on me about them cause she hates anything that she claim looks "too fake" but I love them. I actually just started wearing eyelashes the beginning of this year. I was always scared that I would end up accidently messing up my eye trying to put them on. It took me like 2 hours the first time, but eventually i got the hang of it. And now it only takes a few seconds.
Heh, they are easy for me...
Novalash, I do it once every 2 months or so, and fill in as necessary. But, I'm certified to do em, so I don't have to pay to have em done![]()

I wear false eyelashes everyday. I work as an escort and mascara always gives me racoon eyes, false eyelashes do not.
Just go to Target and buy Ardelle or whatever is cheap. Lock yourself in your bathroom for an hour or two and practice. It helps if you cut them to fit, apply a thin strip of glue to the base and put on gently. I use a Q-tip to move around QUICKLY while the glue's still pliable. Then after the glue is all the way dry, I take liquid eyeliner and just cover the base of the false eyelashes. I always apply the false eyelashes after my eye makeup so they don't get dusty with eye shadow - I think this makes a cleaner and more well defined eye.
