Arrow Am I the only who loves drag queens?

I'm just curious...am I the only one who is absolutely in love with drag queens? (Hope I'm not offending anyone...I deeply apologize if I am) I started thinking about it when I was at the mall shopping for make-up in Sephora. As I was browsing around, one of the store associates (which was a guy) asked me if I needed help...which I said yes. (Still haven't quite gotten the hang of giving myself the "smokey eye" look) so I told him about my dilemma. He helped me pick out some shadow, liner, mascara, and other make-up items, and showed me how to give myself the look. When I asked him if he was a make-up artist, he stopped, looked at me, and said, "No honey. I'm a drag queen."

And after that, we began to make small talk, and we exchanged numbers. Told me that he would be glad to help me out if I ever needed him. What a sweetheart! I love drag queens...I'm not going to lie. I've always loved them since I was old enough to know what a drag queen really was. I went to my first drag show when I lived in Florida and it was awesome!!! Totally had the time of my life. It just seems as if they're so full of life and energy, and they totally enjoy what they do. What do you think?

I love them too! I love the drama, the theatrics and the way they make you feel good about yourself...(unfortunately while tearing everybody else down).

I heart drag queens and transexuals (nice ones, anyways!) Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood has Drag Queen Bingo and it is my ultimate favorite thing to do on Wednesday nights (their night at the club). They know very well how to glamourize* people.

    Huh? They tear people down??

I am in Key West so you do see the drag queens a lot of course. Once I saw a drag queen in full regalia riding a bicycle down a residential street in broad daylight, it was quite a sight and very cool as far as I was concerned. Sometimes you get them in the stripclubs here which is fun/funny, but usually they stick down by the 'gay area' of Duval St. which is maybe 1/4 mile away.

I have a lot of friends who love going to drag shows but I have never felt the slightest desire to see one. I understand the fun/entertaining/energetic aspect of them, but to me they are still obviously men pretending to be women, which does nothing at all for me, though it can be mildly amusing if they are nearby. I cannot see actually paying money for it, but if others enjoy it why not? To each their own...

i love me some drag queens! I have friends who perform in the shows and i'll help plan out routines. They're some of the few friends i don't have to censor myself around. If you're into their makeup check out some of the youtube makeup videos.

Yup, from my experience they are pretty catty...worse than most strippers. It's nice to find a positive one though!

I model Fetish High Heels for a living and meet Crossdressers, Transexuals and Drag Queens all the time.

In my experience they are some of the kindest, non-judgemental people I know ('bitchy', yes - judgemental, no) - and brave too, as so called 'normal' Society is still - generally - set on 'hate' default when it comes to people who are different or 'way out there'.

I applaud them - every single one.
