Ok I edited the post; not the same person; can't believe that girl turned out to really be a stripper though.

^^
You know this isn't "Alexa DiCArlo", right? This is another supposed Faux Ho (who I think was later validated as a real stripper, just writing outrageous shit) called Lux. This chick is different but she's also mentioned in the article put out by Carnal Nation.
Again, this is NOT the "woman" or blog originally brought up as the subject of the OP.

What kind of dumbass takes a check?
For those who haven't seen it, my response to this drivel can be found at:
Note in particular this comment:
Danielle (a provider) confirms that Ava DeLuca, a former provider here in town, and I have seen several of the same clients. This was on top of me pointing out that Ava had responded to a client testimonial that one of our common clients had sent me (linked in my response).
So I think this effectively negates the assertion that I am a "faux ho."
Interestingly, two of the women quoted in Monica's story have now backtracked and said they "" Jenny DeMilo has gone back through her Twitter stream and deleted all of her comments about me up to the time the story came out (there were a small handful). I think this speaks volumes about the whole deal.
For those of you who were on the fence and legitimately unsure, this should be sufficient to ease those. For those who aren't going to be believe it anyway, knock yourselves out - nothing I say or do is going to sway you anyway, and I'm not going to worry about expending the energy to try to convince you since you don't pay my bills.
For those who offered the support, publicly or privately, thanks. I really appreciated that.![]()

^ I don't know what to think to be honest with you. I mean some are saying you're a he or whatever.. I'm thinking "Well If Alexa D is a man ..that's gotta be one brilliant man and where do I find him?" Sorry all this is way too confusing.
Geez Alexa you are never going to give up. You're telling us to note in particular the one comment where the girl admits that she knows a girl you claim to know (that's all she says) but then goes on to say that you're a content thief and it doesn't make sense why you don't use your own pictures? And THEN she basically laughs at your ridiculous claim that you ARE the webcam girl whose pictures you stole? I guess you're never going to realize that you're making things worse for yourself, not better, by all the grasping at straws....

Sorry, faux ho, that's hearsay. Claiming, you heard of somebody who knows somebody (third or fourth party testimony) who saw someone who may or may not have ever stood in the same room with you is still not valid evidence that whoever you are is a legitimate woman writing a legitimate story.
I read your post and your comments. Really, all that came of it is anyone who wanted to lick you ass over it did and the rest noted that if you are in fact fake, its still a decent read (albeit over the top and tacky). Once more, NO ONE has come forward saying they personally know you or have seen you live. You just talked in circle and offered distractions.
I don't care. I know enough to know you ARE NOT who you say you are, whether you're a man or a woman or a woman posing on behalf of a man. There will be more to come, I'm sure.![]()

For the record, I'm really bringing this all to the fore for reasons bigger than AlexaD. I'm genuinely curious what we as real sex-workers have to say about the idea of a person posing as one with our very real experience, captivating an audience with our practices and thus defining our trade. There are consequences for us as sex workers by being falsely represented. It bothers me personally and I wonder what others think as well.
Others are writing about this bizarre scenario, too. In a blog entry on why anyone would feel so compelled to pretend to be a sex worker specifically, Mistress Matisse (a Seattle-based writer and professional Fem-Dom) writes:
http://mistressmatisse.blogspot.com/...ed-to-see.html"But the real payoff of creating a fictitious online persona isn't changing your own behavior, it's about changing how other people perceive you, treat you, talk to you. As a female sex worker, you can talk to people about sex, and have them talk back to you, in ways that would not happen if you represented yourself otherwise. You can express desires that you'd be uncomfortable with in other contexts, and you can elicit details of other people's sexual feelings in return.
That's an appealing idea to a lot of people. Being a sex worker is a mysterious and yet iconic sexual identity. Everyone knows who we are - except, no one really knows who we are. If you want to create a fictional character, it doesn't get any better than that."
Although, in the end, I do agree with Mistress Matisse that ultimately, "Alexa" and those like "her" is inconsequential to our daily experience and will someday fade into internet oblivion, there are consequences that are not going unnoticed. Another blogger, this time a hobbyist, is writing that this posing parallels with someone who would choose to misrepresent any sort of trade in our society. People have been outed posing as war heros and military figures. It's seen as a stain on a reputation of an institution. He writes:
http://hookeraddict.wordpress.com/20...a-tangled-web/"Just as the bogus military vet takes time, money, and attention from real heroes, the faux hoes take time, money, attention from the real sex workers. And worse, they put those very real escorts, strippers and massage girls in danger by perpetuating a myth. Unrealistic representations lead to unrealistic expectations. Unrealistic expectations can lead to real physical and emotional damage. A girl who thinks that all she needs to do to screen a potential client is to ask him if he’s a cop is bound to feel the cold steel of handcuffs. An unbalanced client who thinks that all escorts really want to take it up the ass, bareback, is going to become combative when face to face with a hooker who won’t accede to his demands. And if both of those players are getting there expectations from the same source, it’s no longer a fun game of fantasy. Real people, real lives, real safety are being threatened."
With an anarcho-activist background, I believe in adopting a strong security culture. It is important to pay attention to who is giving and bringing sex workers attention both positive and negative. It is important to have standards of safety that are upheld by our entire community and to defend those standards should they be undermined. It is valid to question and expose impostors who misrepresent what we do and who we are in our trade. We work to hard defending one another when we are abused, mistreated and prosecuted for what we do. We don't have time to fuck with someone crying wolf on us.

vivian, i've never been an escort, but if someone was glamorizing dancing (and people do this), it detracts from the very real problems that dancers face. it, frankly, isn't that sexy of a job, and when people who are not dancers pretend to be dancers and portray the job as something else, yes, it does affect my reality as a dancer. and i doubt it affects their reality as a nondancer. so i don't care for a non-escort pretending to be an escort for the sake of entertaining people who want to hear about the glamorous parts of escorting without the realities of it all.
and, coincidence?anarcha-feminist checking in!!
Just in case no one's seen, the girl whose pictures she (Alexa) was stealing has finally commented on it:

I know this thread is over a year old but I'm bumping it. i was looking for a link I'd posted and was reminded. Anyway, mystery solved:
http://exposeabro-alexa.blogspot.com/
This is also relevant to me as I just got done confirming, for a second time, that yet another person who's corresponded with a very vocal (and possibly influential) member of this board (you know who you are) has also never been able to establish this person's identity, although s/he is presumed to be a woman and working escort. Seeing is believing, when it comes to online sex-worker buddies, ladies. Skype is your friend.

WTF! that is so crazy. you totally called HIM on it, good for you! this was a great read and thanks for posting the exposed article to show that he was truly a fraud. just goes to show that there are no shortage of creeps in the world, no matter how creative they get.
That blog and this thread are both really insightful. This type of thing makes me even more cautious when dealing with people online than I already was. You never know who is really behind the screen. You are right. Skype is your friend.

Alexa Dicarlo aka creepy internet sociopathic pedophile. was outed quite a while ago.
When I had my first site back in 09, I had a link to one of the RPD blogs on mine; the entry was merely on advertising sources and client screening (stuff anyone can learn with research). A client of mine read the whole blog and thought I wrote it! He made a really weird comment to me and when pressed he told me. Fun trying to smooth that one out!
Boy, did I feel stupid after I found out.
It's not about what you do for a living, it's about who you want to be.

I know people are already familiar with this case (thanks again vivian) - but to repeat and highlight one part of it that was especially sickening was that the man behind Alexa DiCarlo really preyed on new escorts and tried to groom a few to meet with Alexa's "favorite" client because he would be a stressfree entry into escorting and would give the newbie a good reference. Of course the "client" was also the man behind Alexa DiCarlo. And of course it was a glowing reference.
Disgusting
Non-sex workers really get off on sex-worker-anything and will spend years (YEARS in Alexa DiCarlo's case but also others that don't get as much press) obsessing, reading, and faking. so if money, privacy or your life is involved - please verify. I sometimes forget too, but ugh this case is always one sick reminder
Even if the person does a nose down thing because they don't fully trust you (note: but if they aren't a sex worker question why they don't want to show their full face or give websites because they have little risk of arrest, outing, stalking etc) - make sure the webcam being sent is mutual and you're at least watching lips move. Don't just do phone or a picture, both can be altered with like free iPhone apps. If you do the latter make sure it matches their webcam at least. If they're a sex worker they should understand your precautions, and if they have a history of IRL sex work they should be already be very familiar with verification routines.
Just make sure its mutual verification - don't give in to whoever asks you for verification because you feel the need to prove yourself. "Can I see your website / profiles / pics"? Can sound innocent but if you're on this forum being quasi-anonymous, don't just send it haphazardly. Your privacy will be compromised, so be selective. Ensure verification is mutual and done at the same time you do it (aka Skype).
But if they react to your inquiries as if you're going 'overboard' asking for verification... dump them & forget about it (unless they are a real danger to others) because it was probably bogus, self-serving or just not worth your time
Im repeating everything vivianbear said - but: yes this deserves like a monthly bump
Pretty Woman is one hell of a compelling movie it seems

This totally reminded me, folks should check out the film 'Catfish', if they want other insane stories of online imposters. It really drives the point home with the example given:

Thanks, Roast and I think you're right. This thread deserves a bump, every now and again.

Malaya, thanks for the mention! There are, indeed, tons of escorts at all price ranges...much higher than me, for sure. In fact, for overnights and multiple days, my rates are probably lower than most of the ladies out there who allow such long visits (I simply don't offer a short, cheap minimum...since I don't enjoy short visits, and I'm not willing to see more men to offer a cheap rate to each of them and still pay my bills).
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for calling me "high price." Don't know that I really am, but if I'm regarded as someone a bit more selective (through price or any other weeding-out variable), then that's good thing.
Hugs,
Amy Taylor
