    Default Dandruff

I don't have this problem anytime except for winter. Head and shoulders isn't working. Any suggestions? My hair is streaked with diff colors so I need something that won't destroy them as well.

Rene Furterer carries some kind of anti-dandruff product. My ex had psoriasis, and he would get wicked bad dandruff. He started using this stuff and it went away completely. I'm pretty sure one or both of my parents uses it too; I've seen a bottle in their shower.

cool. I've never heard of those products. Head and Shoulders works for me mostly, but I still have some itching. I'll look into those.

paul mitchell teatree shampoo & conditioner should be pretty gentle on your hair. If you are worried about stripping color out of your hair, make a strong tea out of rosemary, mint & sage and rinse with it after shampooing. You can also make an infused oil with the same herbs (if they are fresh) and apply it to your scalp before shampooing, but it takes 30-60 days to properly infuse an oil, so winter might be over by the time you used it, lol. But it'll be an option for next year.

I get what I thought was dandruff in the winter. Did for years, and nothing helped it. I finally upped my omega-3 in the winter, as soon as it starts to get cold, and the flakes go away. Turned out it was severe dry scalp. Try that, also not washing your hair every day. If that doesn't help, I second the Renee Furterer. That stuff rocks.

Tar shampoo works. I used it a few times and it worked well when head and shoulders just wasnt cutting it. Be careful if u dye your hair tho cause I found it lifted some of the red out of my hair back when I used to dye it.

Coconut oil as a pre-poo (before you shampoo). You can find this at health food stores. I put my jar in hot water let the solid oil liquify and then apply to my entire head (scalp and hair), let it sit for an hour. Make sure (even though you have colored hair) you use a clarify shampoo every once in a while.hope that helped
