    Exclamation Cellulite- remedies?

Hey i am seriously thinking about becoming an exotic dancer but a few things are keeping me from going for it. I have a really nice butt when i try on jeans and it looks fabulous. All my friends say that my butt always looks nice and there is nothing wrong with it but i still can see one dimple on my right thigh and about one on each cheek but its not super noticable. I am about 5'7" and weight 148 and im about a size 7 or 9 in jeans. But i look like i wear a 5. i am just self concious of this attribute of my body and are curous about any excercises or remedies that you know of that work, it would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to understand what cellulite is to understand why it doesn't just "disappear" from diet & exercise. However, the dark lighting in the club and self tanner can really lessen the appearance of cellulite.

As for things that are FDA approved for decreasing cellulite:

Honestly though, you probably are much more concerned about it than you should be.

Are u kidding me? You're worried about 3 freaking dimples! Don't even go there babe! Seriously strippers are just normal women. A lot of us with normal faults.. Celulitte, scars, acne, saggy boobs, guts... I've seen it all in the SC. (some when I look in the mirror). 3 dimples is nothing!

I just want to mention that dry brushing and putting lotion on my legs before bed has helped my legs look firmer (in addition to exercise).

^^^ No, but if the FDA has approved it - in my opinion that is pretty huge! I want to try it sometime in 2010.

There are hardly any strippers (or women) who don't have it.

Diet and exercise DO get rid of it. I totally disagree with that argument. I had some on the back of my legs years ago and I changed my diet and started doing weights and it went. My personal trainer said the same thing happened to her.

Do squats and lunges. Cut down of drinks containing caffeine and don't eat as much processed foods.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I use Avon cellulite cream, I wait for it to go on sale and get it all at once. Also you could wear stockings but what you're describing sounds like nothing to worry about.

    +1!!
When I worked, I excerised often 2-5/a week and I had a good tone on my legs and ass. Now I havnt worked out for 3 months since I didnt work and going through surgury soon and I do notice an increase in cellulite when I sit/lay in certain postions (im 100lbs as well) so weight and such doesnt play a role at all, just work at it and it will decrease. I wasnt eating as heathly as I did either.

So your best bet is would be toned your tights/ass and checking your diet. A cream may hide it... but it wont make it dissapear.

Also remember that, unless you have a total cottage cheese butt (which it sounds like you don't), many women who exercise actually increase the visibility of their cellulite by losing the homogenous layer of fat covering it up. So having a little layer of fat to cover the cellulite isn't the worst thing in the world.

^ Cellulite is fat poking through the fiborous conective tissue. The less fat and the more muscle less fat to bulge through.

This might be a stupid question but could I inject a filler like juvederm in the dimples in my ass to fill em up?

Take Tonalin CLA. There are a few threads on it here in body business and the girls LOVE it. It seems to banish cellulite as well as make the skin ultra soft. Cellulite may take a little while depending on your diet and exercise, but the skin silkiness begins in just 3 days. I take 6000 mg of it every day. Studies have shown it decreases belly fat as well.

This happens to me when I get under a certain weight. You work so hard and then there it is, peeking out at you. I accept it, it's fine with me and only visible in horrible lighting like dressing rooms or other similarly lit areas.

I've had it my whole life (starting at age 14), even though I've always had a slim build. Maybe diet and exercise work for some, but for me, it either doesn't change at all or it gets worse when I keep on top of exercise or lose weight. So I've tried everything. Endermologie and VelaSmooth both work, but they can be pricey since you need quite a few sessions, plus maintenance sessions. I bought a WellBox, which is pricey as hell but lets you perform endermologie at home, so for me it's more than paid for itself.

I took CLA religiously for 2 months. 3 pills in the morning, 2 at night, and two Dandelion Root pills along with each dose to help flush toxins. I did see a huge increase in the quality of my skin and my cellulite did tone down quite a bit.

It doesn't work for everyone, though.
