    Default weight issue

I just had a baby 3 months ago and I'm at 140 lbs. and 5'1". I feel FAT. Since I've gone back to work,I've worn a sort of "waist/tummy smoother" under my dresses (I NEVER show my stomach). I'm STILL considered the "biggest" girl on dayshift and that really gets to me. Although I still make ok money, I keep finding it harder and harder to go back to work. My husband is tripping on me about why I haven't gone back for a couple weeks and he doesn't seem to understand that I feel very bad about how I look. I'm dieting as we speak, and I'm working hardcore to get this weight off. Any tips on how to raise my self-confidence WITHOUT having to resort to "liquid courage" every time I work?

I don't think there is anything that anybody can say to you about finding self confidence. It has to come from within.
It feels corny, and it doesn't always work, but I say a lot of self affirmations. In the morning it's the first thing I do (after drinking a cup of Joe of course) and I say them constantly at work.

"Liquid Courage" is definitely not conducive with any diet though.

Remind your husband that you just gave birth recently, that you should be taking care of his child, and not working in a strip club.

A few shots of liquid courage can easily = half your recommended daily intake for a dieter.

Why not look at things in a positive light... Even without losing all your baby weight... you're still hot enough that people want to give you money to see you naked.

Just keep up with dieting and exercise. Could you possibly get in as a waitress/bartender or something until you get the weight off? I don't know how much you want to get down to, or what you weighed before your baby, but it will take some time to lose 20 lbs or more. There is nothing you can do about confidence but fake it if you can't believe it. I had twins and went back to work after 3 months and felt like I looked terribly and felt fat. I was pretty much back at my pre baby weight when I returned, but I was a lot less toned than before and my belly is still too loose for me to feel comfy showing it. I don't show my belly either! I wear dresses and simply keep them bunched up around my belly. It really sucks when you just don't feel sexy anymore. Give it some time and keep up with diet, it will come back. I still have nights when I miss my old body but I feel much more secure now. Stay away from the alcohol! It will screw up your diet and will become habit forming. The last thing you need to do is start a drinking problem with a new baby.

oh sweetie, it took you 9 months to gain that baby weight! you should at least give yourself 9 months to get it off before you start beating yourself up over it.

everyone's right about liquid courage not being diet friendly though. it will make your blood sugar shoot up and your body will convert all that glucose to fat.

amalia is right...self affirmations are the way to go. follow the law of attraction. whatever you focus your mind on the most is exactly what you're going to get. that means if you spend all night down in the dumps insecure then you are not going to do well. focus on what a hot piece of ass you are and how any man would be lucky to have you dance for them? now you're talking!

if you really wanna lose weight, a few simple things will help without having to kill yourself to do it. switch to whole grain, cut out processed sugars, eat food as close to the natural source as possible (ie screw juice, eat an apple), and keep in mind that white foods (rice, pasta, potatoes, white bread, bananas, etc...) are not your friend. when you get home from the grocery store put your chips, crackers, nuts, etc....into individual bags in their correct portion sizes. waldenfarms.com is a great website that is chocked full of calorie-free sauces and toppings so you can cut out mayo, ranch dressing, and things like that.

i am 5'2 and went from 88 lbs to 160 lbs in about 6 months when i was pregnant with my first child, now i'm 93 lbs after my second child (she's three now), so if you have any questions about weight loss, food, or exercise, let me know, i will be happy to help!

At many clubs where I've worked, the biggest girls usually made great money. These girls weren't even proportionate. They were just, well, big.

To help raise your self-confidence, definitely look into the law of attraction. Also, play up the features that you feel GOOD about.

Something that I try to do if I don't feel pretty is to use my feelings of ugliness as MOTIVATION to HUSTLE. This may sound odd, but sometimes I even DON'T "pretty myself up" w/makeup and do my hair well...this is bc it will force me to hustle HARDER. Of course, this can also backfire if a customer does want a "glamorous, made-up girl," but most aren't as picky about as as we are about ourselves.

Another tip that you've probably heard: fake it till you make it. If you have the saggiest stomach and boobs and your legs look like overgrown tree stumps, PRETEND that you are the hottest, sexiest, sex-kitten in the club. Act the part and you'll dance/move the part. Ooze the sex appeal and you WILL become sexier than the "fitter" girls who do not have the inner-confidence/sexiness.
