    Default For fun not work?

    So it is looking like i'll be going out to vegas for my first time ever in may, with a guy (suffice it to say we are very close, lol). I'm super thrilled because I always wanted to go to Vegas, and getting to go with him is like a total dream.

    Here's my question...we know we want to hit a strip club one night, but have no clue which one. What we would like to find, if possible (or least as much of this checklist as possible in one club):

    -couple friendly (at least friendly to couples genuinely there to have fun). a pet peeve we both have is dancers never coming up to us.
    -not trashy/dirty
    -not crazy expensive. We dont mind spending some money (he worries a lot less about it than I do, since he has a lot, but I don't want him having to spend a ton). We plan on getting dances, etc. so we are not cheapskates or anything.
    -good variety of girls, though preferably lower on the tattoo/piercing scale
    -we don't need 20mins of convo out a girl, but really don't like a very high hustle. Trust me, if we think you're cute, we'll get a dance. Plus, as a dancer, I find the game annoying (so does he actually).
    -there has to be alcohol, lol.

    Any info on the good clubs out there that you ladies can give me would be very appreciated Even if it is just the ones to avoid, lol.

    Also, any info on how clubs out there work as far as what to expect as a customer, would be great.

    thanks!

    Hey verf- where's my epic post on this?:

    NM! FOUND IT:

    Fun Bars Off The Strip:

    I second, double and triple the Double Down Saloon recommendation. Try the Ass Juice shot.

    There's a bar literally just called Divebar down on Tropicana that kicks ass. Live music, punk rock kids, bar food and $2 cans of beer. You can't beat that.

    The Griffin down on Fremont St in old Vegas is great. Gas fireplaces, chill atmosphere.

    Beauty Bar is a few doors down from the Griffin and is styled like a 1950s hair salon but has music. The have Martinis and Manicures on Fridays so you can get your nails painted and drink a martini.

    On the strip:

    Ny, Ny Rollercoaster. Tis a must. It's like $12 a person to ride but if you bat your eyes at the attendant he will give you the MGM/Mirage discount which drops it to $6. Do it after dark!!

    ROK : Inside NY, NY. In my opinion, has the best music in town for a mainstream club. Panoramic video screens, lots of dancing, it's fairly small. But great.

    The Lions inside MGM. I mean, I love them. Seems cheesy but they are kick ass. I will stand there like 45 mins just watching them.

    Sigfried and Roy's Secret Garden: Mirage. So beautiful and who doesn't love baby animals and dolphins?

    Mandalay Bay Aquarium: The only predator-based aquarium in the country. I think it's $18. The have golden crocodiles, komodo dragons... I think it's pretty cool.

    Cleopatra's Barge: Caesar's Palace. It's a boat inside the casino which is also a lounge. You're supposed to rub Cleopatra's nipples for good luck.

    Bellagio Fountains: Dude, it can be seriously romantic. I only like it when they play the opera music.

    Eiffel Tower: Paris. Go up to the top. It's worth it.

    Gondola Rides: Venetian. The gondoliers sing opera to you. Get gelato at the square inside afterward, particularly the cinnamon, tiramisu or raspberry. Yum.

    Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum: Venetian. It's interactive! I got pictures in bed with Hef, and my fella got one picking Harrison Ford's nose. Haha.

    A Few Restaurants I Like:

    Trattoria Reggiano: Venetian. Very small, like 12 tables. It's like $15 a person, near the food court in an unassuming corner. Get the handmade cheese tortelloni with homemade Alfredo sauce.

    Firefly Tapas Lounge: Something foreveryone and sooo good. Really popular so it can be loud.

    Pink Taco: Hard Rock. Silly name, but seriously good southwestern food. Only drawback is it can be expensive.

    ... I'd give you some asian recommendations but I dont like asian food. Sorry.

    Other cool stuff worth mentioning:

    The new TownCenter for shopping! It's near the south end of the strip.

    The fortune teller caravan on Fremont Street. $14 for a palm reading. Super fun.

    Fremont Street in general. And you've GOT to go to Girls of Glitter Gulch for fun! Or Talk of The Town. I love divey stripclubs.

    Body English inside the Hard Rock on Sundays: It's Sunday school. Wear a school girl outfit and drink free champagne all night! They don't play hip hop either.

    Totally grab dinner at the top of the Eiffel Tower after dark. It's very romantic and fantastic food with a view of the fountains at the Bellagio.

    As for SC... I just haven't been impressed honestly. Treasures is gorgeous but when I went it was dead. The girls at Spearmint Rhino don't seem to approach groups containing women or couples. Hopefully someone else can give you advice.
    Don't you ever sleep?
    Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

    ok, a bit of an update, i checked out some clubs websites, and these were the ones that caught my eye:

    -Ricks
    -Spearmint Rhino
    -treasures

    so, i'm going to do a search on these on here, but i was hoping some of you who works at these places (or did at some point) could tell me a bit about them? They look very nice, but I know sometimes that doesnt mean anything, lol.

    i have never worked at vegas but when i go there for fun i have always had fun at the spearmint rhino. lots of girls and the majority were very attractive. had a bit of a problem getting approached but once they saw that dances were being bought they started coming over. treasures is also a nice club but last time i was there it was so dead they were not even charging a cover and went through the whole stage rotation in less than an hour. at that place it was also harder getting the girls to approach. i have been to both of these clubs several times both on day and night shift.
    aside from the fact that there is no alcohol, i would not recommend deja vu for female customers. both times i've been there not one girl approached for a dance despite the fact that we were tipping the stage for the first half of our visit there. they would literally walk around our table even though it seemed most of the male patrons were not buying any dances.

    Treasures is very nice. SR isn't very couples friendly.

    You may also try asking over in the Junkie forum to see what the guys recommend for a good time in Vegas. They have a lot of experience and are frequently looking for a good value when they visit.

    LOL how about I answer right here and save her a trip down the stairs.

    -Ricks
    -Spearmint Rhino
    -treasures

    I would probably suggest in the following order:
    Treasure's (laid-back and can sit there all night and not get approached sometimes)

    Rick's (although many dancers will skip tables with ladies or couples....this 411 from my ATF's and other dancer's mouths.)

    SR: Usually too packed and they have enough male custys to deal with and can afford to skip the ladies IMO. Often difficult to find a seat if you ever get up and try to come back after a dance.

    As to the attractiveness or "hotness" and quantity of the ladies then it would be in reverse order of what I have listed.

    As a frequent Vegas visitor, here's my 2 cents:
    The Rhino is a hard hustle and is always way too packed;
    Treasures is very elegant and a well-run house. It's not busy until later in the evening (as opposed to the Rhino).
    Those are the only two SC's I would even consider. I've been to several others and they don't really compare. Sapphire is HUGE but is always dead and seems to have very small rotations. Crazy Horse Too was really fun but was closed down a few years ago in a mob sting.

    Be sure to print-out Mediocrity's list above, that is an excellent resource!

    I'd also add these romantic places to visit:
    Downtown Cocktail Room (off East Fremont around the corner from The Griffin & Beauty Bar);
    The Fireside Lounge @ the Peppermill (just south of the Riviera);
    Mix Lounge (top of Mandalay Bay - opens @ 5pm but no cover charge until 10pm) Great view looking right up the Strip;
    Foundation Room (normally requires private membership but is temporarily free cuz Vegas is hurting);
    Voodoo Lounge (top of Rio) <---Best view in the entire city cuz you are not in the middle of the Strip;
    Fontana Lounge @ Bellagio (great venue and excellent talent like Dian Diaz) Also has a patio that's right behind the fountains;
    Cathouse @ Luxor (classy restaurant/bar/clubwith elegant bordello theme);
    Fave restaurant: Bouchon @ Venetian (10th floor of their Venezia Tower) Has patio dining off a beautiful private garden;
    Fave club: XS @ Wynn/Encore (Tryst is also good)
    When life gives you lemons, make lemonade... then find someone whose life gave them vodka, and have a party.
