Arrow Home Scents (Candles, Incense, Etc.)

What do you use to set the ambiance in your home?

I am a self admitted candle whore, and I also love incense. Right now I am burning Nag Champa, and I also burn Nag Champa Superhit. I am currently in lust with these.

I was at Whole Foods today and smelled two heavenly candles. The brand name is Pacifica and the scents are Mediterranean Fig and Lotus Blossom.

For cheap stuff I like the Glade candles, or dollar store "Caribbean Market" scented candles.

I prefer tropical smells, relaxing lavender, gardenia, and hippie ish scents sometimes, like sandalwood and patchouli.

I HATE cake or cookie or anything related to that scented stuff, but that's just me....

    Ok, your turn!

Currently burning "Cozy Cabin" by Gold Canyon. I love that they are made in America and last a really long time.

I prefer woody scents and botanicals.

I like candles and incense. I usually have one or the other going..esp now with 2 foster dogs added to the house..one a puppy adn one in renal failure. I'd much rather my house smell like incense then dog pee!

My favs are ginger peach incense I got from Pier 1 and Cinnamon type scents.

Depends on my mood as well as where in the house its burning. In the kitchen I like vanilla and cinnamon apple scents(so it smells like I can cook..lol). In the living room I like the ginger peach or floral scents.

In the bathrooms I like clean scents...linen or ocean types.

My two favorite candles are Pacifica in Tahitian Gardenia and another one I got from L'Occitane called Fleur d'Oranger. It's a lovely orange blossom scent.. I keep that one in my bathroom and light it when I take bubble baths. The scent reminds me of being in Paris

When it comes to home scents I'm huge on scents that invoke memories or make me think of places I've been.

There are candles everywhere in my house. I don't use many scented ones, but when I do I go for vanilla scents. I read somewhere once that men like the scent of vanilla. So far it has been true. haha

I'm dangerous with candles so I use mood reeds now. I have a rose scented one in my room, I was surprised at how well they work as I wasn't sure before I tried it.

    This is what they are:

If you like that you will really like Superhit. You can buy it at Whole Foods, it's made by the same people that make the authentic Nag Champa.

I just bought a mini one of these reed diffusers for my bedroom. Up close it smells lovely, but the room doesnt smell like lavender..

Its a cheap off brand I found at Publix just to try. Anyone have name brands of reed diffusers they know work well? How long do they last? How big a room can you use them in too because my house is a fairly open floor plan.

Mine smells very strong as soon as I walk into the room. Yeh must be certain brands are better. The dusk ones are good but I think it might be an Aussie brand?

Yeah, normally I would think $20 is a lot for a candle but the pricier ones burn longer and are more fragrant. The gardenia one smells so good! It doesn't have that artificial-white-flower sour smell to it.. it's more sweet and soft. I catch whiffs of it from time to time even when it isn't lit.

Anyone ever use yankee candle reed diffusers? The candles are usually good, though expensive! How are the diffusers?

I use warm scented candles. They make me feel all cozy and super relaxed. I even got a nice center piece for a table in our living room just for the nice cozy feelings that candles give with the light alone. I can't wait to use it!!
