    Default Ellie, Pleaser, or Tony?

    And a side question too:

    Straps or No straps?

    ---

I'm looking to buy some new heels- 7" and I wanted to check the general opinion as to which shoe brand is better/ is preferred.

I figured a poll would work nicely to keep tally, since in all the other threads I've seen the results have been pretty mixed.

    ---

Personally, I'm not lovin' my 6" Kiss Pleaser shoes, since I've hardly worn them, except for practice dancing a few times and the rubber bottom is peeling?/tearing? off. Within the first week I had them/ first couple times I wore them, the Pleaser label came off. (Does that happen to anyone else? Is that normal?)

Do you mean the pleaser label on the suede part? Yeah, they come off. Iv notived the soles wear off too, but I havnt found a more comfy shoe than Pleasers so I still love them.

I go for straps, but make sure they are attached by a loop so I can tie rubbon thru it if (when) one of the straps break.....................Im really not bigging up Pleasers very well am I?

Personally, I've always bought Ellie shoes. Not for any reason in particular; I guess I just like their styles better?

And I have to have straps on my shoes, or I will kick one off every time I'm on stage. It happened last night! I was getting blisters from one of my shoes, so I switched to a pair without straps and I inadvertantly hit a customer in the head when it flew off my foot! But I thought it was pretty funny because the customer was texting on her phone at the tip rail when it hit her. She deserved it for not paying attention!

These are Ellie 7 inch strapless. I wear the 6 inch Vanity, super comfortable.

I have Black Platform, 6in Ellie style shoes with straps....I think the platforms were 2inches, a little lower maybe....

I really love them - mind you, they're my first and only pair of 'real' stripper shoes. They fit well, are durable, and really comfy (and I have wide-ish feet).

Post some pictures of the various styles/brands you're looking into? I have a bit of a shoe fetish, and LOVE looking at different kinds of shoes (even if I'm not the one buying them).

    Good luck with your decision!

I've been buying pleaser...but i've noticed that all my other shoes are size 7 but for this brand i have to get an 8...my feet are too wide the pleaser shoes I've gotten so far have that steel rod through the heel for extra strength against breakage

I model high heels for a living and would put them in this order -

    1) 'Pleaser' - huge range, nicely made, good for broader feet too.

    2) 'Ellie' - ditto above

    3) 'Tony' - gorgeous styles, but a limited range.

    4) 'Jante' - not as stylish as the 3 above, thick heels which I personally don't like.

Have you looked at the 'Reflections' website here:

    http://www.reflectionshoes.com/

In my opinion they are by far the most stylish...but thay are more expensive and you'll need to find a Retailer.

There's a couple more in Europe you can look at which Ship to the US:

    'Heels De-Luxe' - http://www.heelsdeluxe.com/catalog/default.php

    'La-Piazza' - http://www.la-piazza-highheels.com/

As for straps or not - it's a matter of personal choice but at 7" I would say you'll need them.

I have never had any problems with 'Pleaser' Kiss range - or with the rubber soles tearing off their shoes either.

The rubber on pleasers always peels off... you super glue it back on and those shoes will last ages.
I have a pair from when I first started... still look great. OH. The sole STAYS black on their shoes... it doesn't fade/scratch to white like the shoes I've bought from the other companies have.

Ive never tried Tonys, but I was wearing Jantes and Dallas Heights for like 3 years before discovering Pleasers. I don't think I'll ever go back. I can rock a pair of Pleaser 7 in heels for 4 hours and my feet don't hurt or get tired. When I wore Jantes, I would end up changing into boots because the heels would hurt my upper soles badly.

Love my Pleasers. Always wear straps. I'm afraid of the strapless shoe

You've got me onto my favourite subject...high heels!

Unless you're very confident in extremely high heels, then strapless shoes are risky to say the least. I model heels, and wear them an awful lot outside work too - but very high mules (slides), especially platforms are a recipe for disaster (sprained or broken ankles) if you trip or over-balance - as there is an extra 2" to fall off or twist your foot underneath.

Jante's are heavier and have thicker heels than 'Pleaser's' or 'Ellies'...so I'm not surprised your feet hurt after 4 hours in them!

'Tony' shoes are pretty and well made, nice styles and not too expensive either: www.tonyshoesinc.com

Try 'Reflections' as well, if you want some REALLY comfortable heels in different styles...they are simply gorgeous and you can see them here: www.reflectionshoes.com

If you're looking to be a little adventurous and wear some uniquely styled shoes - try 'Burlesque Blue' here: www.burlesqueblue.com

You can't beat 'Pleaser's' for their range and durabliity though......I love them.

    +1.

As for the strap or no strap I have no preference as long as the shoe is hot. Although I do prefer a strap on my clear ones for some reason.
