When you girls try to lose weight or trim up, do you focus on losing pounds or losing inches?
I just looked at an old measurement chart I did of myself back in November and compared it to just this morning, and this is what I found:
NOVEMBER 8:
Ankle 9.125 Calf 15 Thigh 21 Hip 40.5 Waist 32.5 Wrist 6.375 Forearm 9.75 Bicep 12.25
Weight: 154.4
Versus TODAY (January 17, 2010)
Ankle 8.75 Calf 14.25 Thigh 19.5 Hip 37.75 Waist 31.5 Wrist 6.25 Forearm 9.5 Bicep 11.75
Weight: 152
All total I've lost about 7.5-8 inches off of my body since November, but I've only lost 2 pounds.
Please note, I'm not on any official diet or exercise regime - I eat healthy and I work it while dancing, so I consider that my workout (10 minutes every hour for 8 hours - that's 80 minutes of exercise 4 times a week, and that's not counting lapdances!!)
Visibly I do look a lot more trim since then, too. I've lost 8 lbs since August when I came off of a hormonal IUD birth control. I know that most of these inches lost but not as many pounds is due to muscle gain rather than weight loss, and probably a little water weight, as well.
So I'm wondering - for you girls, is it more beneficial to count pounds or inches when exercising and trying to trim up?
