    Default Accidentally hustling an employee

I didn't want to thread-jack the post about not recognizing customers you have met before, but a few people had some funny stories about not recognizing and trying to hustle other employees. I had a funny one too, so I thought this deserved it's own thread. Feel free to share

One time I hustled the owner for 2hrs before anyone told me he was the owner. Apparently everyone else thought I knew and was just sitting with him... until he came up to the stage at my next set and everyone saw him tip me $200. (this was a stage only place)

So after I get down, everyone comes up to me and starts to ask if I know who he is. I asked if he was a celebrity or something, and they told me that he was the other owner. As with most owners, he didn't usually tip the girls, so then everyone wanted to know what was going on!

I think that because they all knew him, they didn't treat him like a customer. They paid their respects, but they knew they were not getting tips out of him so they didn't really bother. In my ignorance, I had no idea not to expect any money from him, so I treated him like a customer and hung out, flirted my ass off, gave him my undivided attention (not scanning the room for a real customer), and made sure everyone with him had a great time too. It must have been refreshing to be treated like a customer in his own club... that's the only explanation I can imagine for why he didn't tell me who he was sooner or for why he tipped me.

I love this story!!! This is the work of a true professional. As far as I'm concerned anyone within the club, you have the right to hustle. Good for you. I've actually hustled other dancers' boyfriends without knowing it....and guess what, most of them tip!

I've had bouncers come in on their days off and buy dances off of me.. It's pretty cool when they do that.
Once one of the male dancers came in (when I worked at a club that was split between male and female) he wasn't a dick the way a lot of them are and spent great money and was just all around fun to be with. He came in a few times to see me and it was so great to have a fun hottie that paid me to play with him!
Gotta love it when the "industry" people actually act like customers when they ARE customers!
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I asked one of my old managers-- who I'd worked with many times before-- for a 2-4-1 when he was WORKING one night. I had even seen him earlier I was just jumping from guy to guy trying to get the 2-4-1 and I saw the back of guy in a suit. He made fun of me for a while.

I gad done this to a manager before it was funny!, I had also danced for bouncers friends when they came in on a night off, I wouldn't dance for any guy I worked with tho, knowing who he was.

I haven't done it but seen it lots. I saw a girl hustle the owner and he tipped her $100. I did have a manager come up to me and say, "Are you getting many dances? Cause if not I'll get one from you later" - insert cheeky grin... ewwwwwww!

I hustled the Bud Lite guys for about 5 minutes yesterday. I didn't see the patches on their shirts.

I just chalked it up to practice.

Found this thread in the back and had to add to it.

I (unsuccessfully) hustled the backstage employees on my first night. It wasn't until I was leaving and saw them downstairs at the computers that I realized who they were.

Over the years I have danced for many employees, contractors, sub-contractors, managers & club owners... as well as spouses/S.O.s of club owners. Some of these were accidental hustles, others were where I was specifically requested by the person. As such, I've learned a lot about dancing for these people.

Only once have I ever eluded to dancing for an owner to his face, & it was in jest to derail his extra attention on me after he stood nearby & stared as a I danced for multiple customers. I knew exactly the type he was, & I was less than pleased to have him "watching over my shoulder" so to speak (it makes me nervous)... particularly because I know his style for scoring with entertainers. Anyhow, after my jest saying "So, are you next?" he asked if I was single... at which point I told him it was none of his business, followed by a comment about needing to be less concerned about my personal affairs & more concerned about his own. I basically shut him down.

Moving along though, if the club is open and/or there are other staff members around, it is generally NOT a good idea to dance for staff/owners/etc. It tends to lead your fellow co-workers (entertainers & club staff alike) to gossip, & cause a separation between you & fellow entertainers. Having an entertainer dance for a staff member or owner is a sign of favoritism, which usually is not well taken in this industry.

If you want to entertain these people that is fine, but if its your home club or one you will be in for anything more than a single night, realize that you could be putting personal & professional relationships at risk... not to mention your job it things get out of hand over time & turn sour.

For those who choose to entertain regardless of the risks, it's best to do so as discreetly as possible while not inconveniencing anyone or putting yourself at risk. For example, showing up to work early & doing a dance before the club is officially open & all the entertainers start rolling in. Or possibly during a time when you can find a private spot in the club & the other people (entertainers) aren't keeping a close eye on you. Or simply away from the club, but where the two of you aren't necessarily alone. Don't have clubs remain open after hours for this though... it will almost inevitably put staff in a poor mood.

Otherwise, if a dance is requested by a staff member/owner its generally better to say that you appreciate the interest, but don't want to take the chance of stirring up the rumor mill... professionals understand this.

Out of all the potentials though, sub-contractors are generally the safest to hustle if you are going to do so.

I completely agree with what Kylea said.

Any time I have ever hustled an employee, it has been by complete accident from working in a new club. As soon as I learn they are an employee, I apologize and back off. Most take it in good humor.

The most embarrasing for me was when I was a baby stripper. A manager came up to a stage I was on to tip (I'm not sure why he wanted to tip). I didn't recognize him at all. So I go over and do a little dance for him. He was REALLY cute...so I did the whole breathe on the neck thing, and nibbled his ear a little bit. Well, he kind of flinched but didn't say anything, but was rubbing his ear a bit. Later he called me over to check if I was wearing two thongs (it was the law), and yelled at me a bit because they were "too small". And then he rubbed his ear again, and I saw him do that the rest of the night. God, that was so embarrasing. I haven't been back to that club since. Maybe an over-reaction, but even so...

Haha, ay, I don't even know what our owner looks like!

Plus there are all these guys who are relatives of the owner and never get dances. I guess it'll be a while before I realize who not to hustle.
