alright, so when i moved i had to join a new gym. i would go to this gym roughly 5 days a week, but i got a lot less out of each work out session than before. I found myself being a lot lazier, even though i had driven my ass to the gym which is half hte battle.
So i think i figured out the factor that really affected my work out-- music videos.
Previously i was a member of Bally's because since i lived in both pittsburgh and CLE, it made sense to only be a member of one gym. But there is no Bally's in NOLA.
I hate the fact that the stupid coorporate gym was so much better for me, but it was. They had "Bally TV" on all the time, which was just a lot of music videos... and for whatever reason, thsi really did it for me.
The gym in NOLA just has regular TV. I think convincing myself that i need to do a very intense work out is much more difficult when the taco bell diet commercial (yep,,... the one saying you can lose weight by eating taco bell) is running in the background than when "oops i did it again" is playing obnoxiously with britney spears's rock hard body moving seductively over several flat screen TVs.
Next gym i join, i am going to make sure that they play non stop music videos with hot scantily clad women. Apparently that is what i need to stay in shape.
