When will they admit we are in a depression? It seems to be far worse than a recession.

^^^ and the scariest part is that the only jobs being 'added' are gov't employees ... whose salaries are being paid via borrowed / freshly printed money that the rest of us will be paying for via higher taxes and higher prices for years to come !
Where WalMart's 11,000 US employee layoffs is concerned, it is my understanding that this was the result of 'outsourcing' the creation of displays etc. to a $2 an hour country with zero mandatory employee benefit costs.
I have been thinking someone is figuring out a way to get around minimum wage. My idea: a fixed price "activity" for the worker or something. Put up on the board a collection of tasks and what one is willing to pay for them, sign a boiler plate contract, then it is just how fast they can get it done. If they screw up in the company's opinion, they don't get anymore tasks to work anymore.
Something like this has got to be in the works. It is only a matter of who is willing to face the music if it comes under court interests.

^^^ doubtful ... it's just easier and less risky in terms of potential future liability to farm out the work to vietnam at $2 an hour with zero chance of litigation.
