if it wasn't the closing song, you would be fired.
Customers would throw tomatoes at your car when you left.

Dude, awesome! I would tip you hella-big!
I'm like, the only girl in my club who dances to Celtic and contemporary symphonic music, as well as a lot of symphonic metal like Epica, Nightwish, and Kamelot (DJ didn't have ANY before I came in)

Wow that was excellent! I loved it, and the dancers looked pretty hot too.
I did used to play this one very sexy Celtic/Jazz/Enigma-type song for certain dancers way back, but did get into a bit of trouble at one club once when a customer complained in a more mainstream club. I'm trying to remember if there were any bagpipes in it--certainly not as much as were in that one. The girl was really talented and liked jazz, but her favorite customer was there and didn't like the song at all--he wanted Metallica I think lol.
You might have a few dancers who get into something truly unique and creative like this song, but so many customers and other dancers only want to hear cheesy pop as it is, it could be a problem. remember you aren't just dealing with the girl onstage, people are getting lapdances and customers are sitting there taking it all in as well. Managers are not renowned for having open minds, either!
The one thing you could do would be to cue it in so there is more with the drums, etc., and turn down the treble/highs on your sound board/program a bit, so that the bagpipes weren't quite so piercing. I do love bagpipes and have since I was a kid, but they do have those piercing highs alright.
Maybe play it on a slower night, or at the very beginning or the end, but only if you have a dancer who really, really likes it, and you have the full support of management.

I absolutely love nightwish
opening or closing sounds good actually
I think I'll try to make that my thing the first and last song of the shift will be a bit eclectic since no one will have to dance to them
I probably need to quit thinking about musical experiments I am going to end up really ticking someone off one day

Musical experiments are best tried in the safety of a laboratory, with trained professionals and full safety gear.
Haha sorry couldn't resist. But it's true, experimenting with music has to be done with real care in the clubs--especially certain clubs!
