Smoking would have to be the second worst mistake. Make yourself look awful and die. Awesome. Chantix works! Drinking is third, which I am guilty of.
I drink too, whatever. I also don't eat sweets, I walk everywhere, have been vegetarian for 14 years, and take obsessive care of my teeth- I have only ever had one cavity.

As far as Chantix etc, I honestly have no desire to quit smoking. Both of my grandmothers smoked and drank til the day they died and they were in their 80s. My dad has smoked a pack a day since he was 16, and he's 54 now. Every time he gets a physical they tell him he is fine. There is no history of obesity, heart disease, cancer or anything in my family. We are a hardy lot. Of course there is always luck of the draw but I really don't give a rat's ass if I get cancer when I'm 80. I also don't smoke heavily, so whatevs. I'm nonchalant about it.

Mine aren't as bad as I may be making them out to be, but I am obsessive about my skin.

    Me too!!
I just turned 25 last month and I had my 1st ever birthday-induced-anxiety-attack... at work, no less. It was awful. I couldn't stop thinking "i'm going to die soon... i'm going to die soon..." and just shook all over.
I officially don't feel like a kid anymore. And at the same time, I see all these younger, super-accomplished actors, writers, models, dancers, friends/classmates/whatever and it makes me wonder wtf ive been doing all these years.

    This thread is funny!!

I am 30 and I've made close friendships with a lot of the younger girls, one of my best friends is 22.

However one thing that will make me dislike young dancers is if they are immature little shits who squeal and talk absolutely shit in the dressing room. I have a low tolerance for that.

Am I intimidated by their looks? Don't make me laugh I look better now than I did in my early 20s and the majority of strippers don't have the looks that would intimidate me LOL - seriously hiring standards seem at an all time low. Also I love other hot women.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

I have one wrinkle in my forehead. It's from my 'curious' face. Apparently I'm curious a lot.

I don't smoke, drink, tan, and take good care of my skin. Both my parents looked super wrinkled in their 40s, though. Not a big deal either way.

And yea, I cried on my 25th birthday :<

Um, natural redheads are usually the first to develop wrinkles. We have less melanin in our skin, and this also results in having thinner skin. Natural redheads also produce less collagen, which is what gives skin its "bounce back". Less melanin + thinner skin + less collagen = wrinkles quicker. How's that for a complicated equation?

I moisturize/wash religiously, wear 30+ SPF daily because redheads are really prone to sunburn, and it is a physical impossibility for me to tan.

And by "wrinkles" I mean one line in the middle of my forehead that only I notice, that I want to get rid of before anyone else does.

I'm 28 and starting to feel that "Omg I'm nearly 30" panic. I don't think being 30 is old by any means, but it's just going to be weird when I'm not in my 20's any more. Most people I meet are always very surprised when I tell them my age, they usually estimate about 23 before I tell them. And they can never believe that I'm married either. I mustn't look like the marrying kind. lol

My skin has always been good and wrinkle free. I do think this is genetic though, my Mum has perfect skin and has never even used moisturizer. I smoke too. My sister had botox (she didn't need it) and I didn't notice any difference. She had a very subtle eye lift though, and the results were amazing.

Sometimes, it's hereditary. My bro and I have the same two small lines in our foreheads. I had them at 17. Not wrinkles, but I guess expression lines.

(I'm 38 and don't have them anymore, thanks to a couple of shots of botox)

Girl, it's true. My dad is a highly freckled, was natrually reddish strawberry blond. He is now paying the price for any sun exposure he had and he DID NOT lay in the sun. He just didn't wear the screen. He got a carcinoma on his forearm from hanging it out the window while he commuted to work! Luckily, my mom is mexican, so I have more of her coloring. But my face has not been without sunscreen since I was 22.

Also, (side note) I hung w/ a friend yesterday. She said she liked my make-up. Told her I had none on, but I got spray tanned two days ago. My friend (being a very pale red head) says, "That's a lot of trouble. I would rather to to Palm Springs and lay our for 2 days and do it naturally"

    * She is 38 and already has slight skin sag around her lower face and yes, a good amount of expression lines!!

I'm so careful, I've putting putting sunscreen on my hands for 10 years!

I know a 30 year old dancer who is younger looking, prettier and in better shape than the younger girls. She is really stunning actually. I don't see why anyone has to be jealous of anyone else.

anyone else feel this way lately?? i am 31 and the minor dancers annoy me for so many reasons. if not their selfish boasting stupidity, i hate them expecting me to teach anything i know about stripping to them. no one except stripperweb and my own personal experience taught me. i am annoyed seeing the minors false expectations that there is always money and admiration every minute of the shift. experience has made me more patient with the ebb and flow of my time a the club. minors who can dance onstage but not walk the floor have a lot to learn about what the club really is like: BSing customers and dealing with handsy men all night!!

Everyone is new at some point. And with the way the industry is supposedly changing they're probably experiencing a different newbie experience than you did. A lot of girls have that boasty self-righteous attitude, not just new strippers. Not sure how to phrase this properly, about teaching them a little something, but it's wrong for them to EXPECT it of you, but that's because they see you as older and wiser and want some tips passed down. Nothing wrong with that, except for the attitude that comes with it, maybe.

Older women have the potential to hate on younger girls (and vice versa) anywhere, in my spinning class I get dirty looks and cold-shoulders, but that's not my problem, they need to deal with their low self-esteem, because I'm certainly not the cause of it. All you can do is be friendly and not feed into crap anyone gives you, regardless of their age.

i'm amazed i haven't heard on the news about some disgruntled stripper just opening fire in a club and taking everyone out! maybe some of these women have been through some rough shit in their life.
The one occasion where I was in a position where a stripper tried to involve gunfire in the dressing room involved a YOUNG dancer totally strung on crack ( which was the reason she was fired earlier that evening ). 12 gage buckshot leaves about a 3 ft hole in a sheet rock wall !!!

lol 30 year olds and botox? i think that's a bit of an exaggeration. 30 is still young for god's sake! i don't see why there has to be such a huge rift and so much jealousy between older/younger dancers. absolutely, some older dancers are jealous of the younger ones..the older ones who look like shit and don't take care of themselves.i know this because as a newbie/young dancer i had a 45 year old be incredibly cruel to me for no reason whatsoever, publicly. but a lot of older dancers look great, aren't jealous, and don't care. maybe its something else that's annoying them besides your age. i think it has a lot to do with just being a "new" dancer rather than younger.

I've ran across both older & younger women who hated on me for no reason at all when first starting at a club. I talk to no one unless I know you or a customer. I'm not there to make friends.period. For instance, last night i started at this divey place & got a dance 10 mins after I hit the floor & this other custy says to me"yep, you've certainly pissed off some of the girls in here already" & I said how so? He says they said bc "I walked around like I owned the place" LMAO wow, I didn't know that confidence was a crime these days?! LOL

Yesterday I had one of the Androids complaining that the MILF had turned off the fan because "She is fucking 50 years and and she needs to move to Florida because that is what old people do." (The MILF is a youthful 43 and has not had any surgical procedures to my knowledge) The MILF walked away with the lion's share yesterday.

I work with 2 older girls that are friends, one is a witch both looks wise and personality and upsets other girls, the other is nice and smart and will sometimes get me doubles with her with young guys groups which I don't mind as she can hustle v good and sells the dances.

Since I'm an older dancer, I like working in larger clubs. Mostly because us girls are focusing on hustling instead of DR drama. I haven't had any drama in a while. None of them have insulted my looks (except for the occasional, "you're too skinny") but it doesn't sound vindictive. I'm pleasant to them, we seem to get along. I really could care less what they think about me, unless there was violence involved.

I try to steer away from smaller clubs. Again, the dancers have been cool for the most part. The smaller clubs to me, drive the younger, inexperienced dancers crazy when it's slow. Thats when the crying starts, the drugs come out, they drink too much...and that's the day shift! And I'm not saying all the young dancers are that way, just a hand full of 'house dancers' that have been there for a while. (Hmm, maybe they're not that young, but compared to me, yeah they are:-)

It is so funny I should find this thread today, I only dance on rare occasions nowadays, and yesterday was my first night in 1.5 mths. The club was E M P T Y all night and it was just a big waste of my time! The older dancers (my group) were sitting down, talking (many complaining), in the same place most of the night, while the younger ones were acting as if the club was actually packed. It was funny! They were drinking, up on stage, doing shows as if there were lots of guys watching, being loud etc. And it seemed as if it didnt even matter to them that they werent making any money. It seems to me that money for some young girls is just a bonus at work, if they dont make any they still love being there. I have no hate what so ever for younger girls, I just find it hard to keep up with them and their energy!

I never saw a point in all the hate and cattiness. Regardless of age difference, experience, what new dancers will or won't do, etc., we're all there to make money and support ourselves. Call me a tree hugger, but I've always thought the nastiness was so unnecessary. I'm one of those people who always try to start off on a good foot and am therefore friendly most of the time. That actually caused some of the older girls to get even cattier. Come on now, who doesn't want an enjoyable and upbeat work atmosphere?

The other thing I've noticed is that older girls in general seem to have a negative disposition toward us. Not all of them, but a decent amount. The girls at my vanilla job are like that. They have this attitude that we know nothing, are immature, are still children, and drama queens. Granted, many girls around my age make the stereotype real. However, I find it immature for people of any age to be so judgemental.

I couldn't agree with this more. I had to switch from a small club to a bigger one to be around more experienced girls. In small clubs I notice I am often older than most of the other girls. And since I'm the older, jaded cunt I have found a lot of the younger dancers I have worked with to be loud and annoying so I try my best to avoid them.

I don't really care about dancers older than I am, but I have seen younger girls call older dancers sloppy or washed up when it really isn't their place to do that.

Age does not = maturity or wisdom. I've met plenty of older dancers that I want to bitch slap as much as the young ones.

That being said, the older I get I find myself appreciating the older dancers that are immaculate in their appearances and habits. It takes a lot of work and dedication to maintain your physique in this business.

Here's to all the hot cougars on here. Y'all are an inspiration to me. May we have many more years and go out still on top.

It goes both ways. If an older dance is 'past her prime' (i.e not making money anymore and not taking care of her body / looks) then I can see how they'd hate on younger girls. But as for the older dancers who still look good, still make money, are in good shape (etc) I wouldn't describe their sentiments towards younger dancers as 'hating' (hating in my opinion denotes that there is some jealousy involved). Older dancers who are good hustlers have no reason to hate on younger dancers. Not to generalize, because I'm a younger dancer myself and so are plenty girls here who seem to carry themselves well, but a lot of young strippers these days are just bimbos and don't know how to actually entertain. These girls couldn't hold a candle to the older dancers who are still on their hustle. And because some younger dancers are annoying, it makes sense for an older dancer to get annoyed by them! A girl I used to work with was 40 at the time, had a great body, had obviously gotten a lot of work done but she looked great. She also had 2 master's degrees and owned a home. No reason for her to 'hate on' a young girl when this woman was one of the top earners. I'm a top earner too and I've been 'hated on' by older dancers who can't make money without doing extras or older dancers who are overweight, etc. But I've never been hated on by an older dancer who was a good entertainer. I'm sure the young girls who don't know how to make money hated plenty on the older dancers who were making six figures the clean way and looked better and more put together than most of the young dancers these days.
