Ok, I find it important to distinguish the difference between older dancers who look amazing, make bank, and love their jobs and the ones who've aged badly, have Jerry Springer topic issues, and dislike dancing and know it's past time to quit but can't because they can't handle the drop in money of taking a vanilla job, don't want to stick to a schedule, or are unable to find vanilla work because of a criminal record. It's the latter that hate on girls who look better, make more money, and generally have more going in life. Also, I've found that the most attractive girl in most clubs are very friendly and receptive to new, hot girls. Cuz they know that another pretty girl won't threaten their income. It's usually attractive-but-not-model-quality ones and plainer looking ones with bodies hit hard by age, hard drugs, or children that are snobby and unhelpful to younger, new, hot girls because they realize a dent is about to be made in their income, sometimes even if they do extras. I've more than dealt with my share. First place I worked, I was the only girl with white teeth and a flat stomach. It was funny as hell when customers would point that out while these women could hear and *I'd* get dirty looks. My advice to girls on here who find themselves on the receiving end of such treatment, give it no space in your head. Take it as a compliment and count your money smiling as often as you'd like![]()

I have to agree…your post does make you sound a bit dramay yourself, that being said, a lot of strippers in general are jealous bitches, so I wouldn't be surprised if they are….
I'm 28, I recently started a new club and I've been having 21 yr olds talking to me like they're coaching me or something. Customers often assume I'm younger (I usually tell them my real age because I find it sets them at ease, and I get my 'real' customers through good conversation) but I've been taken off guard by the girls reactions. They must think because I'm new to the club I'm new to the industry and around their age. I'm nice to them (there's no reason not to be) but I typically just make 'huh' grunting sounds while I'm putting on make up and they're rattling into the mirror elaborating on some experience that I feel like I've had 100 times already. Internally I feel sort of condescending & indulgent towards them- it's all still novel and they're excited and want to show off. It reminds me of kids who jump into a pool and then are like "I made a spash THIS BIIGGGG" So far I can't relate, hopefully over time I'll drop enough subtle hints to show that I don't need to be informed of 'how it is' for now I just tune out if it gets annoying. Acting like a bitch just creates a bad work environment for everybody and I don't see the point in it.

It depends on how they're acting. If they're playing among themselves I leave them alone. If they come encroaching into my personal space it's a different story. Asking me how much money I make, trying to give me "pointers" etc. I straight up tell them "Shut the fuck up because you don't know it all and neither do I".

Maybe they are picking up on your attitude of superiority.. if you think you are so young and beautiful and a good money maker (not saying that you aren't) but that they are old and bitter, no wonder they are acting unfriendly towards you.
That being said, new girls come and go so much in this industry.. it doesn't make sense to cultivate relationships with people if they aren't going to be around very long.
That's my philosophy.
BTW I'm soon to be 26 and have never had botox.. I HOPE I don't look over the hill as you suggest when I'm 30

Great post, jane says! I have seen similar situations as well, when someone who has very little experience tries to micromanage someone who has been in the business for a VERY long time. From personal experience, those kind of people are extremely insecure, have major control issues, and are very paranoid. These people often have grandiose/sociopathic tendencies as in "I'm a jack of all trades, know everything better than everybody, and I am better than YOU!". Be careful making friends with them, because there will be control, jealousy, stealing customers, and back stabbing; and brown nosing the manager at your expense. Been there done that. But they have not. They always wonder why is it that no one likes them. Amusing but annoying.

My experience is the younger ones tend to be more curious and chatty. The vets usually suss you out before making a decision. It's not that they're "hating" most of them just don't give a fuck one way or the other about fresh meat. The pussy-go-round spins all the time. New girls come and go. Why bother with them when you can focus on making money?
Just a sidenote: The Androids are in their early 30's and HATE on the MILF. You'll catch them making snarky comments about her age, etc. I've noticed this tends to occur more often when the 'Droids aren't racking up dances but the MILF is. She is one of the quietest people I know. She also makes more money than me and the 2 'Droids combined.

Right on the money, Rusdancer! There are so much insecurity in majority of younger girls, except a few![]()
Older, more mature, veteran dancers have the most regulars and have the most experience. Their need to do "extras" are far less than a 20 y/o who is less established. It's your attitude that they don't like. Be appreciative of the veteran dancers; they could teach you a thing or two if it wasn't for your demeanor.

Yesterday was a good case in point. I went back to one of my old haunts with a younger co worker from my main club. It was a slow night but I made good money. The youngins were busy onstage playing on the pole and having themselves a blast. I just smiled and let them have their fun. they weren't bothering me any.![]()
