    Default Waken a Sleeping Stripper?

So yesterday I was enjoying secluded time with a new stripper-crush, in the corner of the main room on a little couch.

She had her head on my shoulder, said she was tired, and I said go ahead and nap. After about 5 minutes, her breathing and lack of movement told me she was asleep. After about 5 more minutes, some dancer I had never seen before in my life came over, stood in front of us, then started SHAKING her shoulder, saying "are you ok? Are you ok?"

Well of course this woke her up. She said she was just napping and the girl left us alone.

This girl never said a word to me, even though I was awake. I was pretty annoyed she did this, disturbing a peaceful moment of having a beautiful girl sleeping in my arms.

I guess I can see her concerns -- was she drugged? was she sick? -- but is shaking her and waking her when she is resting on me, without saying anything to me, the way to handle it?

    What would you have done?

I think its the sweetest thing in the world you let her lay against you and while she slept. The other stripper was probably right- she shouldn't have been sleeping at work but she probably just had to much to drink or she was overly tired. It doesn't sound like she was roofied. Sounds like you're a very nice guy to sit with her and keep her safe, and let her get the rest that she needed.

The other dancer didn't know you, so she could have been making sure you weren't taking advantage of her. Or she could have just been a bich. Either way, it was a little uncalled for.

She did the right thing, there's very few non rapey situations that lead to a passed out stripper with a customer. Not that you did anything wrong.

I understand the sentiment, but we WERE in the main room, my hands were in plain sight, and we were both just sitting there. I don't see how I could habe nbeen perceived as doing anything shady.

i think she did the right thing... if i saw a girl sleeping on a customer i would also wake her up... considering the nature of our business, passing out on a customer is some thing that would rightfully concern me.

im not saying you did anything wrong.

im just saying this situation would have a significant probability of something being wrong. The other girl was just watching out for her coworkers safety. nothing wrong with that.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

even 5 minutes of sleep can give someone a big boost, and the fact that you said she was a "new' stripper crush means its not like other random dancers ITC have seen you hanging with this girl for years, so what's wrong with them making sure she is OK?

its an uncommon event what you are describing partiuclarly out in the open like that. Head on the shoulders with eyes closed for brief moments, dancers to that with regs, but asleep?, well that just doesn't happen often.

She was just looking out for another dancer. I wouldn't take it personally. Granted, treating you as if you weren't there was a little impolite, but to her you were someone who potentially drugged a dancer. Really which is the worse: being impolite at that moment, or checking on the safety of another dancer? The answer is a no brainer IMO.

You are lucky it wasn't a bouncer or a management person who discovered her asleep/passed out on your shoulder. He might have assumed the worst even though you were innocent.

^^ Agreed. And she shouldn't be sleeping at work, much less on the main floor.

I've slept at work a few times when it was dead and I was exhausted. But I'd usually find an empty area, like a free CR. Never had any problems with it.

I know the OP thought it was all snuggly and so forth but the reality is he potentially put himself into a sticky situation.

As KS said it is best if the dancer is very tired she take refuge in a safe area (empty CR area, dressing room etc) and that the customer resist the snuggling temptation if the other party is asleep/passed out. He should keep his own best interest in mind. It can become problematic.

Funny thing, the bouncer walked by a couple of minutes before and made a motion to me like "is she sleeping?" I nodded yes and he smiled and walked on. Funnier thing, the bouncer is romantically interested in this dancer, before she slept she had shown me a text on her phone from him asking to hang out later.

It was all so out in the open I don't see how it could be construed I was doing anything shady. Truly just sitting still, hands visible, while she leaned on me. But I hear what you all are saying about a cautionary lesson.

yea ive slept at work before too. we are independent contractors, so i feel like when we get in, our only requirement is that we be on stage when we have to be.

although sleeping on the main floor is tacky in some clubs and would probably not be allowed. but girls should be able to sleep in the DR at teh very least. napping on a customer though isnt quite as tacky, since for a lot of guys, including the OP, it is part of the whole fantasy GFE. although to prevent other staff members from being rightfully concerned, it might be best to nap on the customer in the CR. Plus that way you are getting paid to sleep on the job .

A few clubs in LV had couches in the DR specifically for naps / if a girl was too drunk. I could never sleep at work. Once I am out, I am out. I wouldn't wake up.

Plus I am an ugly sleeper. I wouldn't want a customer to see me sleep.

I could never be comfortable enough with a customer to sleep on their shoulder though. I have a lot of trouble sleeping in strange places with strange people. But I have managed to crash out, lightly, in the club before when no one was around. Oh, and once when I had a bad reaction to some medicine I took, but that wasn't sleep as much as it just knocked me on my ass and made it hard to move at all.

I have been drugged at work. I would hope a girl would do the same for me if they saw me sleeping. I suppose if you are a regular I dont really see why the dancer didnt ask you first, but I probably would do the same thing. There are a dancer napping on a couch the other night when it was really dead and a customer saw and came running to me to ask if she was ok.

The dancer was concerned about her sleeping coworker and whether she offended or hurt your feelings over the matter was probably the least of her worries at the time. She saw something that didn't look right to her and she took the action she deemed appropriate at the time. Get over it.

^ Agreed with jannisary. The dancer cared about her coworker, not you. Why would she talk to you when the sleeping stripper was of her concern?

If you were spiking her drink you'd hardly say "Hey there, I just drugged your friend. No, she'll be fine in the morning, don't worry." - so the third party really had nothing to ask you. I'd have woken her up and taken her away to the dressing room to sleep.

I had one girl do this with me, she fell asleep for three dances. She was becoming a regular so I let her. She had woes with the bottle. Fortunately it never happened again.

I tend to forget sometimes that there are other things than alcohol that may be involved, so if it happened again, I would not let it go more than one dance. Although I do know that she was breathing through the "dances". She looked so damn cute lying on top of me and she seemed like she needed it, but I had to wake her.

Everybod above posted absolutely correctly. It had nothing to do with you Everyman, it was about looking out for another dancer. Rude or not - these girls have seen their friends drugged and messed with, and you're just lucky the dancer on your shoulder woke up! Had she remained unresponsive... Well, I wouldn't want to be you in that situation, LMAO.

If something like that happens again, I would gently wake her and suggest she go rest in back, or try to get out from under her without disturbing her and bring her condition to the attention of a bouncer or other dancer - now you look helpful, not guilty.

Good Suggestion AJ. He could then stay innocent to her and the other dancers and it allows the situation to get taken care of in the right manner.

As for the dancer coming over, I have seen many a times in my almost *sigh* six years girls drugged, drunk, sleepy, etc and we have to look out she was not trying to offend just be protective.

As all others have said, I'd have woken her up as well and it would have gone exactly the same way, both for the reasons others have given and also because some drugs, like heroin, will cause the person on them to fall asleep. And then they die. I would rather come across as a rude, nasty bitch than have someone potentially OD. I'm sure your girl is clean but you really can't always tell, especially when you are in an environment where alcohol is involved and the first inclination of most people is to assume that the person is drunk.

    OP -

I would not have been offended. People are sometimes just casual with courtesy like that anywhere you go. I can see why you feel put out, since it might seem that the striipper assumed the worst about you. But you don't really know what she was thinking, because she didn't say anything to you.

Strictly she should have excused herself to you, asked you if she was alright and told you she wanted to check. If she stood in front of you for a few seconds before waking the girl, she obviously didn't think it was an urgent matter. But perhaps the thought of the girl possibly dying from drugs or something caused her to skip courtesy.

In any case, I am never disappointed by unpleasantness in SCs and don't bother being offended by it.

I would not sit five metres from a sleeping stripper let alone close enough for her to rest her head on me and defo not in my arms. I could easiliy find myself in a world of shit. She or someone else in the club could accuse me of raping her. No "girlfriend experience" or cosiness is worth the risk. She was stupid to sleep next to (or on) you like that since it's a good way to actually get raped.
