    Default webcammers and affiliate programs

I have been a camgirl off & on for 3 years now and I am looking to branch out. I've always thought about joining the affiliate programs on alot of these webcam sites. Does anyone out there have any experience with this?

I am not looking to become a millionaire over night (I know these things take time), but I do have a few websites with traffic and I'd like to use them to my advantage. Right now the only way I make money on my site, or any camsite I am on is if I am selling webcam shows or recorded shows. If I join an affiliate program I can promote signups and make money from my traffic, or make a % of what my traffic spends. I know it will take a while to start seeing sales but it seems to be a good way to make extra money. If I am sleeping for example and a person from my website signs up to the website via my affiliate link, and I make some money, I definately wouldnt complain. I am nervous about sending my traffic to other websites, but I have thought about this for so long!! It is time for me to do something about it, after all it could be my calling! If anyone has any experience with this please feel free to share.

I love camming but I have to BE ONLINE AND ON CAM TO MAKE MONEY! Sometimes I could use a break from this. I am seeking out ways to make money while I am not online. Do something behind the scenes and learn something new too. Replies appreciated!

You don't need a full web design or even design skills to make money from the affiliate programs that is what blogs and message boards are for

You technically don't, minnie, but it would be a good investment to start a website. You have full control of the domain, working with blogs n social networks are LIMITED!!! Blogs n social networks are a great way to get traffic to your website, though. And keep your traffic up to date.

7 years online and attending the webmaster conventions and trade shows and they only get a website unless they are displaying TGPs or MGPs and now with tubesite the affiliates who have a website are less and less.

All the more reason to have and promote your own website, then send the traffic to spend on the affiliate sites!! It seems endelessly using tubes, forums, and free blogs would be a waste of time in the longrun, hence why maybe so many affiliates do have problems getting signups (I see alot of ppl bitching on webmaster boards) If they are only spamming tube websites, etc, people will look at them as spam. A website gives a place for all of your online traffic to go to plain and simple, makes you appear more reputable then the average spammer, and that website itself retains value.

Call me crazy but I always think it is good to stand out and be different from the rest of the crowd.

You can do it either way, with or without one but you must look at both sides of the fence, you really never know until you try.

I have been a webmaster, mostly promoting adult cams for at least 13 years and there is a difference between promoting adult websites and adult cam sites. The traffic looking for cams is very different than the traffic looking for porn or TGP's etc (BTW TGP's MPS's and tubesites are websites created by webmasters looking to sell something (usually porn although their are some directed towards cams).

With cams most webmasters I know have their own website or multiple websites, I have over 50 and another 10-20 on free sites. A lot of time, work and money goes into being a webmaster. But as a model you have even more options as an cam affiliate. Create your own website or have one created for you, join an affiliate program your already working as a model and link directly to your own cam room. Basically doubling your income from any sales. Also as a model you probably already have your own contact list of members and followers who you know that you could direct market your website to them via email, myspace, twitter etc..

Also since most affiliate programs do not allow spam, setting up a website is almost a necessity also do not mass spam mail or abuse messenger or purposely steal customers from one program to another.

Just remember that as affiliate webmaster you get back what you put into it. A Website or blog that you regularly update with new stories, pics, etc so the visitors have a reason to come back again and again to your website will do much more than a stagnant static website that is never updated and thus the visitor has no reason to return after the first visit.

    Sorry for the long post.

I recent got started in affiliate programs, but I really just focus on recruiting models. I work with two different companies. One of them I offer to models who only want to cam and not deal with any promotion. The other pays for recruiting models, webmasters and customers so I offer it to those who have high traffic websites that are interested in modeling. It also allows models to upload videos that customers can watch while the model is offline allowing the model to still be paid when not working. Either way I get ongoing commissions even when I'm not working.
