    Default Walking in heels

I just bought THE msot gorgeous pair of shoes

Only problem is I'm not yet a stripper and I want to wear these shoes out! (They deserve it).

They're 6.5 inch heel with a 2inch platform. really comfy on the feet but I'm having difficulties balancing on such a thin heel.

Practice. Walk on hardwood, cement, and carpet.

Focus on putting more weight towards the front of your foot rather than the back. Once you get that down, gradually start to shift your weight back towards the center of your foot.

yeah i find, putting my balance more into the ball of my feet makes it a lot easier to walk quicker and dance, but if im just walking around I move around really slowly. practicing is also important like suggested, but honestly I walk better in stripper heels than i do in normal heels.

Yeah my plan is to wear them with skinny jeans. I think I need a hot cinema date so I can wear them =P

And yeah I dunno if I would wear them for stripping, I got much hotter sheos that go with more stripper-style outfits than those would. Plus they have those things by the laces so wouldn't be any good for a pole

I do like the fact they have that padding under the arch of the foot though. Never heard of that until now

eehh...not a huge fan of the style, but the ankle support they will provide will be good for beginners. Just practice wearing them around your house walking on the different surfaces. Put your weight around towards the front of the shoe as you walk-it will make it easier. And make sure that after you wear them you stretch your achilles tendon (back of the ankle) to help prevent tendonitits.

In my club we're not allowed to wear shoes we've worn outside before, just FYI.

Good luck! I'm still getting used to stilettos myself.

If I step in crap, wear my shoes on stage, then do floor work, I am rolling in crap. It's just to keep the stage cleaner.
And I guess they don't know but I don't want to ever have to pick a pine needle out of my vag cuz someone wore outdoor shoes on stage.

I get the idea, but still how would they know? (*sorry, I see you said they wouldn't know. weird to make a rule that there is no way of enforcing) I guess you're state still allows cigarette smoking in clubs or else dancers change into street shoes to take a smoke break? If I could never wear my shoes in the real world I probably wouldn't be wearing Louboutins at work. I would be more down with that rule if I were dancing naked and doing floorwork though, makes sense.

And to the OP, by "cinema date" you mean what we (in the US) might call a movie? like going to a theatre and sitting with popcorn watching a comedy in platform glitter boots? or is there a fancier cinema i'm not aware of?

i dont feel like that sc floor is that much cleaner than the outside considering a bunch of guys who've been outside walking around come in with the same shoes on, then we walk over it. then get on the stage. hopefully if you wore your shoes otc and stepped in poo you'd clean your shoes well haha. i just think there are tons of germs and plenty of grossness floating around itc no matter how nice the place.

it takes practice to get into it but once you do it is like second nature. Its important to distribute your weight evenly. Use your whole body to move. Those shoes are really cute, and learning how to walk in ankle boots is an art unto it's own. Platforms seem weird and strange at first when you walk in them but after a while it is like you are wearing nothing at all. You are able to adjust to walking in them in time. Ankle boot provides a little more support than the strappy heels and will not be a strain to walk in for the height that the offer (compared to pumps). The style with the glitter will not grip the pole very good. I started out by dancing in those big white platform lace-up boots.

The tallest shoe I ever danced in was 7 inch platform rise.
