Dizzy Apparently my manager thinks I look like a beached whale on stage...

I quit the club I work at in the middle of January because it's a 45-minute drive and we were consistently dead and because they wanted to fine me $200 for not making it in on two days when I was scheduled because my road was solid ice. I found out about a week ago that they would rehire me (it's one of only 2 clean clubs in the area and the other one... bleh.) and I figured I would go since the money is picking up.

But I think they must be mad at me anyway. On Friday I worked my 3rd shift since coming back and after work the female bartender/manager pulls me to the side and tells me that the old man who owns the club says I am free to continue working as a mixer, but that I'm too big to be on stage right now.

What the fuck. I am 4'10" and 109lbs and a cute redhead (so I've been told), and there are a couple girls working who are way bigger. I'm not sure what the deal is. I haven't changed much at all since I started working there 6 months ago. All of my friends who work with me are shocked. Either they are trying to get at me or they are upset about my belly, which isn't perfectly toned and hasn't been since I had my son 4 years ago. Odd that they never cared before...

    So here are my questions:

What do you think is up with that shit?

How can I go about toning up my belly fast/losing a little weight (not much, I am not really big. this is so dumb lol.)?

    Thanks.

You don't sound big so it's prob one of those fucked up excuses that clubs give when they want to get rid of a girl for some reason or another.

Best way to tone up the tummy quickly is to cut out bread, pasta and other processed carbs and try to stick to protein (lean meat) and veggies. Drink lots of water too.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Chances are it's nothing to do with your weight, just usual SC management crap.

If you want to tone up anyway the best thing is lots of water like jaizaine suggested to make sure you aren't bloated, and do the usual sit ups to tone up your tummy.

At the pole classes I took last year, we would do side sit ups and sit ups where you slightly raised off the floor and held it which are more effective than your standard up and down for working out different muscles.

    Planks work too.
