    Default B.A. and weight

I am thinking of getting my breast augmentation in about 6 months or so due to weight loss. I know the first month or so you are not able to work out. I imagine I wouldn't want to anyways. My question is ladies when you got your breasts done did you notice a weight loss, gain or that you stayed the same?

Just curious. Also how bad was the pain?

    Thanks again

This is mmy 4th BA...I gave gained about 3 lbs. It's been 2 weeks. 2 of those pounds are the implants. I know a lot of girls have problems with bloating and constipation from the med and anesthesia however I've found ways to overcome that so it's not an issue for me.

I'd say expect to gain a couple pounds on top of whatever your implants weigh!

Weight gain seems to be a common "side effect". Not sure if it's from the surgery or the fact that you can't exercise for about 6 weeks after - you can walk but not too much more during this time. I put on a few kilos. It's ok though once you have fully recovered u can exercise and loose it again.

Also all I did was sleep for a few weeks after my surgery I was insanely tired all the time.

I didn't find the pain bad at all. I had under the muscle placement and it just felt tight and like I had done an extremely strenuous gym workout. The only time I noticed significant pain was when I woke up in the morning and had been laying on my side and also because I hadn't taken pain meds since I fell asleep.

I've seen dancers take a week off most I know took 2 or 3 I was taking me time off and didn't return till 2 months later which still was hard on me cuz going from aa to c. All of a sudden moving around had me way off balance and it took me a while to adjust to having them there. I remember coming back and having to gain the arm strength to do the pole tricks with the ease I'm used too. Then again maybe some of it had to do with the time I took off as well, but the extra weight felt like a ton even if it was only silicon. I do think my frame gained maybe 2 lbs as well, but it's normal for your body to adjust to carrying the weight that way that you might gain it in other areas as well.

Pain for me was only a matter of when I 1st woke cuz it felt like my new boobs were crushing me till the meds kicked in. Once they did I was all good and slept like a baby till I recovered.

The worst of it for me was the swelling cuz in my case I was tripping cuz they came out too big , hard, and up there soo it made me very uncomfortable. I wanted the natural look not the porn doll look at least not on me so it took time for the swelling to go down, them to soften, and then finally drop to a natural positioning. Still most of it was probably cuz my body and I was not used to having any and then I did. Now that I got used to them al ittle bigger /higher porn looking doesn't seem so bad to me. Back then yeah it took awhile to mentally adjust too.

After surgery, eating was a chore. I got depressed and lost weight after surgery. I lost it mainly due to muscle loss.
I am a baby with pain and it took me 3 months to be able to move with ease. Don't worry about when you will work out again. Take time to recover and your new additions will be much happier in the long run. Don't focus on weight, your body will adjust. Focus on healing. If you push too quickly your muscles can heal distorted. If you get over muscle less heal time. Research the doc and hospital you will be going to also.....
BTW if you never had surgery or broken a bone,it will hurt like crazy and once healed nerve pain then kicks in.
I don't want to frighten, just didn't sugar coat my experience.

It hurt me a lot. It took maybe a month for the pain to dissipate fully, and then a couple months after I would get some shooting pains from the nerves readjusting. THen it all settled in and I was ok.

I also gained maybe 2 lbs from the implants themselves overall. I gained a bit of weight right after, then it went away once I started working out again. I don't believe it was all fat either, I think a lot of it was water retention/swelling.

God listening to this I'm so glad I got OVERTS this time round! Not only do they feel and look better but I'm 2 weeks PO and feel 100% back to normal and my PS released me back to all normal activity....it was nothing like when I got them partially under the muscle 10 years ago!

No difference. I weigh almost the same now as I did before.

Pain varies from person to person. I was off the pain killers and on extra strength tylenol by my 3rd day out. However, it was a month before I could drive my car (standard so I couldn't shift) and it was a good 3 months before I could do some of the everyday regular things (like washing my kitchen floor or crushing a milk carton) you don't even give a second thought to.

I gained about 10 lbs with my BA - but then lost if quickly too. I assume most of it was just my body retaining water and not being 'regular'. Also, the implants themselves weigh something too (I doubt much, but it's a helpful excuse! lol).

Pain - Mine was really bad. It's difficult to move your arms afterward, too (which I didn't expect). Pain is temporary though, the results last a lot longer. Don't let the pain worry you at all - that's what opiates are for!

The pain is to be expected. I was a nurse for 3 years and saw alot of surgeries and did many of them as well.

The weight is the big issue with me. I am a recovering annorexic so it's tough. I am currently at 148 and 6 foot which has been my goal for awhile. I am going for silicone gel transaxillary under the pectoral fascia with a doctor I found in Oklahoma who has been doing the surgery now for almost 40 years. I am terrified of gaining weight. I will be going from a small C cup to a DD or F at most.

Also how long did it take you ladies to save. I need about 8 grand all together ( 4400 for surgery, 1200 for food and lodging and 2300 for a month worth of expenses) and currently have saved 1500.

^From the anesthesia and pain meds you're initially going to gain weight right after. This is water weight. Keep your fluids up and this side effect will subside. Don't freak out over it.

Save enough for about two months of expenses. You might be fine but work will tire you out more. Stages should be kept to a minimum when you go back too. Don't want to use upper body for a bit. Does your doc have cosmetassure? It is a plastic surgery insurance that if you have any complication 30 days after surgery, everything is paid for. If not, ask doc what he does with complications that need hospital attention. I got a late hematoma due to falling on the ice and had to get reoperated on. I was lucky I had a plastic surgery insurance

I was super bloated and gross after my first BA but it went away in less then 2 weeks. I went from a C to an F and was under the muscle(well half under) I also had a lift and nipple incision. I was able to start jogging after two weeks(with super awesome sports bras) and was working in 2 1/2 weeks after my surgery. I was back on the pole after 2 months. I didn't gain any weight other then the weight of my bigger boobs.

I don't do ALOT of pole work. We can pay off stage at my work but our stages tip highly. I'm sure that my DJ would understand. I rememeber my friend who got hers done was back in about a month but mostly just posed on stage. How can you determine what size you need?

As far as compensation for any complications ( say that three times he he) my doctor does offer insurance that you can purchase via mentor which covers you should you have any unpreventable incidents ( auto accident, tramua surgical complicatoins etc) I think it's an extra 1,000 and totally work it if you ask me. Also he does not charge for the initial consultation nor any problems that should arise just for the surgery should a new one be needed after the first year.

He has a website and sent me a whole information packet. I am impressed with his professionalism as I found sadly many in Vegas lack it.

Totally understand your concerns re: weight gain. I'm bulimic. Mostly recovered but I do relapse every now and then. I did gain weight after the BA and I wasn't happy about that but if you can look at it as part of the process. Get into really good shape before the surgery and then have an exercise plan for after u have recovered.

As far as choosing your size, my surgeon let me try on implants in his office and you can estimate from that.

I saved $20k for my surgery. I had rhinoplasty at the same time. I can't remember how long it took to save, I think about 8 months.
