    Default switching to stiletto heels

I am scared!!! But after one month of dancing I think I am ready to switch from my chunky heels to stiletto heels, or at least something thinner. Is that recommended? I'm still afraid I'm gonna fall on my butt! However, my other shoes are starting to feel a little unnecessary. I have these ones but in white.

Should I go straight to stiletto or should I do a cone heel instead? Thanks!

How are you doing with the chunky heel? Can you run in them? Dance without ever loosing your balance? Do any required climbing from one bar top or stage top to another? If you can do all that stuff, then I'd say your ready for stilletos. Really though, I prefer a less pointy stilleto that isn't realy a cone heel either. I had some hella comfy ones from Playboy, but could never find replacements. BOO!!

I'm a huge fan of stilettos, but if you don't think you are ready for them get the cones.

In a few weeks you'll be wondering why you ever thought stilettos were scary. I've always worn them, but I felt the same way when I started wearing slides. I was convinced there was no way I could ever walk comfortably and keep my feet in them, but now I'm fine.

hah i remember when i made the switch. I had chunky heeled boots, and for my first stilletos i bought these: http://pleaserusa.com/ProductDetail....XTM872%2FB%2FM

    ^^Dont buy those^^.

Yea, I didnt pay much attention to the shoe itself, and during my first song on stage i fell over. The design of the shoe is such that my pinky toe kept sliding out of the shoe! It scared me off of stilletos for another 2 months.

When i finally got the balls to try it again, i got the simple basic clear pleasers, no fancy bullshit. I recommend these. And get them so they are a little small... the last thing you want is to be sliding around in your new stilletos. They will probably dig into your feet and cause you pain when you break them in, but at least you wont roll your ankle!
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Agreed. If you've found your balance on other heels then stiletto's won't be a problem. It's only your head that will say otherwise. However if you're still a little nervous, try the cones first - or a thicker stiletto like 'Jante' shoes.

I've worn stiletto heels right from the 'get go' at 15 years old and I love them.

Great advice! My other shoes are a little big because I have wide feet. I'll just make sure to get ones that are a little snug instead of the roomier ones. I'm so excited to have REAL shoes!

I tell you - I model fetish high-heels - and so I've worn (and also own) hundreds of pairs of stilettos!! However, I probably only have about a dozen pairs of shoes that fit perfectly. When you DO find a pair like that - it's like you haven't even got them on!

'Snug' will stretch - 'roomier' will chafe your feet and eventually just fall off!!

I worked last night in stilettos! It was easy, I had no problems except adjusting to the different height in the shoes. I feel like a real stripper now.
You all were right... they hurt to break in!
