Default ATTN customers: Do pole tricks matter?

I am a pole trickster and love to wow the crowd when I am onstage. I am just wondering if being a good dancer and performer on stage makes a difference to costumers? I've been told many times that I don't need to waste my time with pole tricks but it's something I take pride in and love to do! Of course I DO also know how to do hot floorwork and move in a sultry manner and I definitly do that as well but I wanted to know if the show of flexibility/strength/skill is a turn on for customers and makes them want to get a private dance?

So, do pole tricks make you more interested in a dancer?

It matters for me cause it shows that the dancer is actually putting some effort into her performance and that she actually gives somewhat of a shit. I see too many girls at the club I go just jiggle around and stare off into space. Hell, I see a lot of them checking out their own reflections off the shiny walls. If I see a girl do some nice work on the pole, a nice tip is pretty much guaranteed.

Most definitely, yes. No matter if I am interested in a lapdance, I am always very appriciative of pole dancing. I certainly tip them very well as a token of that. It also shows athleticism. If this is combined with sensuality I am sold.

I admire a dancer with good pole skills. (Having been suckered up once or twice, I know how difficult it is).

But I don't think it has much effect on sales. In fact one dancer I know is sh*t hot on the pole but seldom shows it on the grounds that she does better dancing slowly and moving in a sultry way.

As a customer, I like seeing pole tricks and will always tip a bit more because I know it takes a lot of effort. But I also tip a bit more to girls that I find attractive. As long as girl doesn't have a bored look on her face, then I really don't care about the tricks. I appreciate them, but most of the dancers that do them get too caught up in them. Depending on how long your set is, 2-4 pole tricks a set is plenty. Pole tricks are neat, but when a girl keeps going up and down and doing spins all the time, it becomes non engaging to the audience. Some girls were so constantly doing pole gymnastics, I never got a GOOD look at them. In my observation, the girls that do tons of pole tricks get tipped really shitty, even if they are attractive. My stage tips increased a ton after my boob job and I couldn't do any tricks anymore. From MOST customer's standpoint, I would say they don't give a damn about pole tricks. Much more important to smile and give eye contact.

I like an interesting, sexy show as much as the next guy, but frankly, you could be a complete klutz on the stage, and I'd still get a dance if I thought you were hot and seemed to be a fun girl.

If the dancer does some good pole tricks or is a really good dancer on stage, I will normally tip extra, but if she isn't my type I usually won't buy dances from her.

Good pole work will get me to tip a buck or two stageside but has no effect on whether I will go for private dances or VIP room time. One of the best pole workers I saw was actually very mediocre at lap dances. Since that experience, I completely separate my appreciation of the two art forms.

    awww i like that comment
you should come to the club where i work at and let me dance for you. I dance better in the lap dance room rather than on stage

If a girl I'm with is enjoying the show or if there's a lull where I'm solo I'll check out a girl doing pole tricks. I find them impressive.

But it has no influence on whether I'm attracted to a girl or interested in dances. As others have said it has to do with her looks, the way she carries herself, her conversation, and her style of lap dancing.

Although not two mutually exclusive categories. the pole girls I've noticed tend to be bit more athletic, and the non Pole types (assuming they are normal weight) a bit more feminine. but otherwise it doesn't matter.

I would assume considerable upper body strength is required to be a pole high flyer type, but I'm not sure.

Kind of sums it up, from what I've seen. The most phenomenal pole dancers I have seen combined their skill with sensuality. That will make money, if they are hustlers especially. But some of the best (and banking) dancers I have seen didn't even mess with it. I tend to tip more if I see it when I'm out because I appreciate the skill involved.

One thing to be said for it is that it will increase the confidence of the woman onstage to be doing that stuff. And confidence is everything in this game. I have seen newbies having a hard time finally slide right on into it after having fun on the pole for a bit.

But agreed overdoing it can sometimes hurt the tip money and customer attraction level.

Pole tricks always get more attention. Will get more tips on stage.

I will always be more interested in a girl that dances over a girl who gets naked and "shoe models."

I'm amazed at pole but I think a dancer should also 'dance' decently too. I love good floor work and good sense of eye contact, flirting etc. I detest when girls look bored or stare at their reflections in the mirror, this is a huge turn off. A big smile wins me every time.

I will usually gravitate to the dancers who are on the pole if the show is good but their personality matters, if they are too involved with pole and don't interact at all, I'll tip and leave. The best pole dancers are those who mix the dance with the other elements, and a good deal of eye contact. IMO

It depends on what the guy is there for. If he's there for a good show, then yeah. Its gonna matter, but if he's one of those folk there just to oogle nekid wimminz' gyratin' booty butts, then not so much.

I don't really think that i have ever bought a dance from a girl based on pole tricks . I would have to say it's more on what i am looking for, or my type

I like to begin my set with standing work or pole tricks to make myself higher and get noticed and then gradually move to the floor with lots of intense eye contact to custies near the stage, slow movements and flexibility. I also bite my lip mischievously or stick my tongue out in a cute way. We also have the hand grip trapeze things at my current club. Those are fun.

Off topic, but this club is very low contact and I'm prohibited from doing some of my favorite lapdance moves (like my headstands). So my stage sets are a little better I think. I'd like to learn some new LD moves without breaking the rules but I'm stumped. The rule is six inches from the crotch, no grinding and such. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to PM me so I don't derail this convo any further, lol.

I myself, love to see great polework. I've been lazy as of late because the past few places I've worked at didn't have much stage tipping going on... you could be doing butt naked cartwheels whistling dixie and no one would bat an eyelash. But I'm trying to get back into the flow and learn some new tricks.

Cause ya know what? If you're up there you might as well have fun with it. Pole tricks are hard but way fun, and it's good exercise. So double win. Triple win if you work somewhere where stage tips are good.

Pole tricks equal to a great show and everyone likes a great show. That of course is my opinion.
