Default i need some, ok alot of advice!

Hey girls, you all seemed very friendly while I lurked on this forum. I figured you would be the best group to go to for advice.
I am 26 and have toyed with the idea of stripping on the side for at least the past 5 years. Ive just been a nervous wreck about getting up the nerve to do it! I am married, hubby is in the airforce, and gone alot, and i am currently working as a teachers aid while attempting to finish my teaching degree. It is not easy, and money for school is hard to come by, hence, why I need a second job that is going to be fun and fulfilling.

Anyway...I need some advice. I cannot work a ton of shifts but want to work maybe two or three. Problem being, I dont want to be exhuasted for my other job (i work with special needs kids, they can be hard enough on a full nights rest!) AND i plan on choosing a club a little ways away from our local area. There are two main strip clubs right outside of base that are packed with guys that work with my husband, and i dont want issues with that! Anyway, how do shifts at clubs usually work? Clubs around here are open until 5am and i know there is no way those girls work 12 hour days (if you do, you girls are amazing).

Second, the audition. I get the whole concept about how to go about getting one. But what are your clothing suggestions? Apparently the clubs here are pastys clubs, so any help with this would be amazing. Also, I am 5'6 so which heel length would you suggest? I dont want to look like an amazon!

Third, from what I hear from my guy friends, the main issue with the strippers here are they are apparently rude and demand dances. I dont want to do this, and my guy friends say because of my outgoing personality i would be great for the job. What are some good tactics for talking to your customers?

I know I have asked alot, and im still extremely nervous about attempting this so any help you girls could offer would be amazing. Thanks!

honsestly, i wouldn't reccomend stripping while working in the teaching profession. Is it worth it if you get caught? The potential for publicity is crazy, not to mention the word-of-mouth that gets around.

If you do go ahead with it anyways, shifts at clubs range from 6-8 hours per shift, and you will need that time anyways to make $$. Normally, if you are pretty, you can choose your shifts, but occasionally a manager will tell you to work days.

5'6"-I am thinking 5-inch heels, not clunky.

As for talking to customers-do a search and tons of info will come up. Unless, of course, you have a more specific question than just that.

    Good luck!

i'm a 22 year old and married to an air force guy too! do you mind if i ask where y'all are stationed? i've always worked 7-8 hour shifts. i remember when i first started i couldnt get out of bed ever except to go to work cuz i'd be so exhausted. but now i could totally take on a second job (not that i ever would, i LOVE my job!!).

as for clothes to wear to your audition, just wear a basic triangle top and a t-back with a mini skirt or booty shorts over it. pick up a set of pasties and keep them in your bag until you figure out what the other girls are doing. i'd go with a 6"-7" heel height. dont worry about being too tall. trust me, it wont be an issue. 6' tall girls still wear 6" heels and they dont look too tall.

most clubs require that you work a specific number of shifts per week, so you'll need to figure out if you're going to be willing to work their required number. i have to clock in for 4 shifts a week, unless i work something special out every once in a while with management to take a vacay or if i can only do 3 shifts that week. my particular club is pretty strict on this matter.

i second papillonluvr in that you need to do a search on talking to custies. if you have some specific questions, please pm me! i know how to deal with air force guys (including what to do when staff sgt so-and-so shows up and you're on the stage!) and such!

good luck and lemme know how it goes!

I danced with a girl that was a 1st grade teacher. Hey she had to make ends meet!
I'm not sure about how people talk in your community. But to make yourself feel better..wear a wig or disguise yourself more. I'm sure people you know don't see you in fake eye lashes everyday..so maybe that won't recognize you all hooched up in a dark club. And work and accent. Sometimes that works too.

Don't worry about what you hear about demanding customers or whatever. That will only keep you from dancing. I have only met a few jerks in my years of dancing..and you just walk away.

Call the club and tell them you want to audition. Ask them when they hold the auditions and what you're required to wear. Then...get your stripper heels and wear your pasties or what ever. If you don't want to invest in dancer wear yet. Bring a long a pair of nice bra and panties. This is basically your interview..so show up, be proffesional, look your best.

After the audition, typically the manager will say..ok you're hired or whatever. They ask you if you want to start right that moment or they will tell you when you can start working. That is when they will tell you how the club is run and if there is a schedule.

If you can call the club and get it out of the person, ask if they club requires the girls to work scheduled shifts. Some places will tell you on the phone..others will not tell you a thing over the phone till you come in.

Good luck. And you can do anything! If you want and are determined to make money at a club..you will. Let me tell you I've worked my ass of in clubs that had 5 customers my whole shift and 20 girls working...and I still banked. So work it!!!

Also...even if a club does not require you to work a scheduled shift. You MAY have to work at least a minimum number of hours before you can leave. Some places its 3 hours minimum..just depends. ASK!!!

    Good Luck! Go for it!
