I have mine done and every guy I have been with has commented on the fact they like it..I like it to but thats probably because Im so used to having mine done I feel like its abit strange to see a belly button without one lol each to their own
I like belly button rings.. I think my stomach looks weird w.o it because I've had it for so long. its not cheesy to me at all.

To me they are a bit outdated

^same... I took mine out a few years ago. I don't really notice them anymore. I couldn't even tell you if anyone at my club has one.

I love mine... but I got it done when it wasn't the "cool" thing to do.
Sorry I missed church. I was too busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian.

I personally cannot deal with them at all.

Same here. Mine's been done over 15 yrs. It really was pretty unique back then. Pissed me off when all my friends saw mine and then about a year later they ALL got it done. Exact same ring and every damn thing. Luckily, I was still saving up for my tatoo when they hit big, or about 30 of my friends would probably have a Ying Yang on their lower back (and I'd be in jail for mass murder). haha

I had mine for 10 years and it got ripped out (it got caught in a loose thread on my top). I just had it re-done. My stomach looks cuter with it in. Just so used to having it I guess.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
I like the way they look. And I've seen some really cute jewelry for them. I don't think they look cheesy but it kind of depends on who's wearing them. I'm considering getting mine done.

I've had mine for about 10 years now and I can't really picture my stomach without it, but I think it just depends on the girl and the jewelry. I think the really dangle-y big flashy ones might be considered cheesy but I only have a straight tongue/nipple ring in mine with two colored balls on the ends. It's simple and people seem to like it.
most girls in the uk have them done, its almost as common as having your ears pierced(not in very young children), i notice when people don't have them done, think there is only one girl in my club without it done!

I've wanted one for years but I'm terrified of getting it. I had my ears mangled by my aunt and a piercing gun when I was six so I have some issues with piercings. My sister laughs at me because tattoos don't phase me but I nearly passed out when I had my ears pierced as an adult.

Mine is a talking point, its not in the usual place coz its at the bottom but off centre. I used to have top/bottom/both sides pierced and i still have the scars so once someone notices my barbell isnt in the normal place it sets off the ''how many times have u had it done!?'' conversation. I dnt like my tummy without mine, itd feel wierd! I think i look thinner with it too!
''I love fake boobs''
''They're not fake! I grew them myself!''
I've never had my belly button pierced, but I still think they are cute. I don't really like the huge ones, but they make a nice flat belly look good. If your tummy isn't real flat, then its probably NOT the best idea. Still sexy to me.

I still llike them although I never had mine done. I worked at contact clubs through most of my career and was always concerned about having it catch as I was sliding down during a dance. Now that I am retired, I may get one when they go completely out of style.
i like them...used to have mine done but my body rejected it
now im just left with a scar *sigh*
thinking of getting a dermal on top...less change of rejection?
^ I am going to take a massive leap of faith and assume that it grew out, not rejected. Commonly mistaken. Rejection is where your body absolutely freaks the fuck out, it's excruciatingly painful. Unless that did happen, in which case omg ow, I am so sorry.
Navel piercings above literally all others, take the longest to heal. They carry a huge risk of infection - and infections are rare.
I'm not sure if a trans/micro dermal would physically fit too close to your bellybutton, but you could definitely get one in that area - say an inch away from it. These generally don't grow out as they have a physical anchor to keep it in place. As always, go for titanium.

I'm not a fan, but then I am not big into piercings or tats anyway.
I love belly rings, but only on girls who have flat trim tummies. Not to big as that does seem cheesy, but hoops or charms that just say look at my sexy waistline I tend to like. It's kinda like the body piercing that is most like the tiny nose stud which is for those girls who want to have that once trendy but still socially safe piercing.
My belly ring was my 1st piercing when I turned 18 in 95, but it's not my only and I keep up to date the only trend that was popular at my club in terms of piercing that I wasn't the 1st to have would be when everyone decided to get monroes which I do find sexy, but just isn't me. I'm more the type to get snakebites on my lower lip which will probably be my next to match the snakebites I have in my tongue. However my favs of my 13 are still my nipple rings. I take a few out when I dance, but I've had most long enough that where it's not an issue to take them off and put them back in any.
A few of my exes were fetish and burlesque dancers who really got to wear the really extreme piercings so they got the leaders, corsets, and all the other cool body mods I found way sexy.
Belly rings do tend to have a problem with getting injections , being rejected, and such still mine never gave me any issues.

They don't look good on very many girls.
So I don't normally like them.
Well. Really. Idk when I EVER like them.
I've only ever seen 2-3 girls where I was like "That looks really sexy".

^ yeah i feel like i'm in the minority, i find them cheesy as all hell.
