Hi, girls!

well in the south island theres only 3 clubs... calendar girls and the dolls house in christchurch, and stilettos in dunedin. The north island you'll have much more choice as auckland has 3 'big' clubs.. mons venus, showgirls and the whitehouse, and wellington has two i think.
Touching is totally legal here in N.Z, but most clubs will leave it up to the individual girl whether you want to offer this or not, you just charge the guy extra on top of the dance price in order to touch.
what else did you want to know?
Thanks a lot for ur reply. As u asked, I do have some questions. If u can help with any info...
Im going to NZ on a working holiday visa, do I need to organize any tax file number (or equivalent) before starting work? I know thats the case in OZ. Whats the clubs requirements apart from passaport and visa?
I know every club is different but just to have an idea how things work in NZ, in general. Do they most charge a house fee? Do they take % on dances? Do they work with tipping dollars?
In ur opinion, whats the best city to be? Im not talking only about work, of course, I want to be able to work in a nice club, make some money, but considering quality of life as well. I know this is a personal question...
The last question: when u talk abouth "touch" u mean breast, or would that include bottom and legs?
Thanks a lot once again.

tax wise, i think you'll be fine, i doubt there's any clubs in N.Z which ask for ird numbers or anything like that, its nowhere near as strict as in Aus where you need an ABN etc. same thing visa wise, i cant imagine any managers ever asking for one, i'd say as long as you can prove you're over 18 you should be fine.
only the north island clubs charge a house fee i think, and even then its not much, no more than $50 a night, and it usually decreases depending on how frequently you work.
most clubs take a least something out of the dance price.. for example in christchurch the club takes $20 from the customer, which basically just gets him into the lapdance booth, from there the girl names her price depending on time/touching etc, and that money is all hers. other clubs take anywhere from roughly 30 - 50% of the dance price.
there's no one or two dollar notes here, so every club has tipping dollars, the girls usually either keep the full amount, or lose 10 or 20% when they cash them in.
city wise... hmmm... auckland is by far the largest city, which means there's more to see and do, but also means its a bit more "global" than any other city f you get what i mean, which probably isn't what you want if you're looking to experience new zealand. wellington is a lot more cultured (or at least thats the vibe i get from it) but still has the big city thing.
The south island would be by far my personal choice, people wise i find everyone just generally more respectful and laid back, lower expectations, and the clubs are much tamer, but the population is smaller, so things will be quieter there.. christchurch is the bigger of the two cities, hence the clubs (all two of them) open seven days (well, nights) in dunedin they're only open thursday, friday, saturday.
all that being said, new zealand is a pretty small country, and pretty cheap to travel around, so i wouldn't feel too restricted about picking one city and sticking to it if i were you.
touching... just means boobs, and outer thighs/hips, no inner thigh or touching anywhere that would be covered by you're g string.
sorry for writing such a novel, hope it answers your questions
^^So if a girl wasn't comfortable with boob or butt touching, would she still stand a chance, or would she take a huge cut in earnings? This would be in the Christchurch area.
When you have a lap dance it usually costs the customer around $40 - with $20 going to the club you work for ... for that money you could give the customer a standard dance (which basically means no touching) although most girls will try and sell a longer show for more money with touching. You can set the boundaries of your show yourself HOWEVER if every other girl is providing touching shows the customer might just say - well I can get this for this much if I go with her so ....

I worked a Showgirls in Auckland a few years ago and there were private rooms where some girls would allow touching and some wouldn't (breasts, legs, bum). There was also another room where the dances were cheaper and the guys couldn't touch at all, so you could restrict yourself to the cheaper rooms. I knew a couple of girls who didn't allow any touching at all and still made good money, but they were quite beautiful and really good dancers.
The club took 50% from private dances and nothing from stage show tips (You could make okay money just doing stage). When I asked if they wanted to see my work visa (I was also on a working holiday visa) they laughed and said that you don't need a work visa to dance in New Zealand. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but it was worth having anyway because I was doing trips into Australia and it was easier to get through customs with the work visa.

a friend of mine has started back at showgirls in auckland and said it's hustle all the way...I know its been a while, but when I was there we did "lap dances" in auckland then the police became involved and would raid the club often and it changed to "private dances" the guys were not allowed to touch the breasts at all and we wer not aloowed to "grind" LOL, i thought it was a "law" But hell they made prostitution legal now so who knows what the "law" is now...but as in all things, girls change, money changes,...my friend is considering going back to mermaids....

Hey!
Are you still in New Zealand? I work at Showgirls in Auckland, been there on and off for 6 years. It's a really great club to work at if you are a good hustler you can make some really good money here. With lapdances half goes to the dancer and the other half goes to the club. You get to keep all of your stage tips. Breast touching is optional, If you are not comfortable with it then that's fine entirely up to you. Customers can touch your arms, legs, stomach, bottom but obviously no where between the legs.
This is a nice clean club there is no extras! I hope you enjoy your time in New Zealand.![]()
I was wondering this myself, since I have been looking into getting a working holiday visa. One thing that I saw on the government webpage:
Please note: New Zealand law prohibits any person on a temporary permit, including a Working Holiday Scheme work permit, from providing commercial sexual services, or operating or investing in a business which provides such services
Does that mean stripping? Or the brothels? Just wondering if you could get in trouble if caught.
Hmm, they probably say that because it's difficult to tax anyone in the sex industry, so stripping might be included. I guess you would need to ask, but I don't know who. I doubt the clubs would care, though.
BTW I'm the friend that Otoki has been posting for. Thank you everyone for all the advice. I'm planning on trying for an audition in a couple of months, and SW has been a great resource.
I've heard some rumours that the guy who runs the clubs in CHCH is kind of sleazy. Does anyone know any more about it? Can anyone say from experience what he's like to work for?
Thanks

well there's only 2 clubs in Chch, (3 if you count the Atami show, but i don't think thats what too many people would consider stripping) and they're run by different people. I know there was lots of drama about the owner of The Dollshouse a while ago (someone got pushed over a balcony or something, I'm not quite sure.
The management of Calendar Girls, which is by far the better club anyway, seems quite nice, I think the owners name is James, and they're in the process of building a new massive multi story club at the moment, which if you're not planning to start for a few months should be finished by then.
Cool, thanks. I was under the impression that both clubs are run by the same person, but I guess I was wrong.
